The Production Superintendent manages staffing, production performance, quality initiatives, and operational efficiencies, while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.\nKey Responsibilities\nProduction Leadership\nLead all assembly operations and coordinate activities across production departments.\nEnsure production schedules are met while maintaining customer quality and delivery requirements.\nMonitor staffing levels and labor utilization to support operational efficiency and productivity goals.\nControl operational costs and contribute to overall plant profitability.\nEnsure parts are produced on time and according to established quality standards.\nOperational Management\nAnalyze daily production results to determine material, equipment, and staffing requirements.\nConduct daily production meetings and maintain close communication with cross-functional departments to identify and resolve issues.\nDrive collaboration across Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and Engineering teams to support plant objectives.\nFollow up on corrective actions and ensure issues are effectively resolved.\nContinuous Improvement\nIdentify, implement, and validate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, quality, and overall plant performance.\nPromote and sustain lean manufacturing principles and best practices.\nQuality Management\nMaintain ownership of product quality within assigned production areas.\nIdentify quality concerns and take immediate corrective action, including stopping production when necessary.\nLead root cause investigations and corrective action implementation to prevent recurrence.\nParticipate in audits and quality improvement activities.\nWorkforce Development & Employee Relations\nLead, coach, and develop production supervisors, team leaders, and hourly employees.\nConduct performance evaluations and provide continuous feedback and development opportunities.\nSupport employee engagement initiatives while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.\nAddress employee concerns and resolve personnel issues in a timely and professional manner.\nSafety & Compliance\nPromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Energy (HSE&E) requirements.\nInvestigate and report workplace incidents, injuries, and safety concerns.\nEnsure all employees follow established safety policies and procedures.\nMaintain compliance with company standards, BOS, 5S practices, and operational procedures.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nServe as a liaison between management and production teams to ensure effective communication.\nSupport objective setting and performance management processes.\nPerform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Operations Manager or Plant Manager.\nQualifications\nRequired\n3-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.\n2-4 years of experience in a production or manufacturing setting.\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nExperience using data to drive operational decisions and improvements.\nDemonstrated workforce development and employee coaching experience.\nAbility to work 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:15 PM - 10:15 PM.\nPreferred\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.\nAutomotive manufacturing experience.\nQuality management experience.\nJust-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing experience.\nSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.\nLean Manufacturing experience.\nWhat We're Looking For\nThe ideal candidate is a hands-on manufacturing leader who can effectively balance operational performance, employee engagement, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
