DESCRIPTION\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.\nMinimum of 3-4 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in the automotive industry.\nSpecific education and training in Quality disciplines, including at minimum ISO/TS 16949 or QS9000, Continuous Improvement, Total Quality Management (TQM), PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, DOE, and SPC.\nSix Sigma certification strongly preferred.\nDeep understanding of problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, Kepner-Tregoe (KT), and A3.\nExperience with data analysis using Excel, Minitab, and Power BI.\nResponsibilities:\nEnsure compliance with all BOS, ISO/TS 16949, and customer-specific requirements.\nUnderstand plant and customer KPIs and work with the team to meet or exceed performance targets.\nParticipate as a Layered Process Auditor as instructed by the Manager.\nDrive continuous improvement across all production quality deliverables.\nSupport PPAP package preparation for product submissions, obtaining approval from the Product Service Manager or Quality Manager prior to submission to the customer.\nDevelop and update Control Plans and support the Manufacturing Engineer in updating PFMEAs as required.\nCreate appropriate inspection and containment plans.\nUtilize all customer-specific systems effectively.\nConduct capability studies for special characteristics, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with customer and internal requirements, or obtaining written customer deviations when necessary.\nSupport continuous improvement of Operation Description Sheets (ODS).\nIdentify and apply appropriate statistical tools, mentoring team members on proper application and techniques.\nServe as the primary interface with assigned external customers for issue resolution.\nEnsure completion of all customer-specific advanced quality planning requirements.\nPrepare and submit 8-D reports to customers in a timely manner.\nVisit customers as needed and facilitate communication between the customer and the plant.\nInitiate Quality Alerts when concerns arise and follow through until resolution.\nVerify all customer return material analyses, including root cause identification and corrective actions.\nPRIMARY LOCATION\nAvanzar San Antonio
