You will drive end-to-end ownership of SOAR, Detection Engineering, Log Onboarding, and UEBA, ensuring higher detection accuracy, faster response times, and strong automation across the security stack. This is a platform + engineering + governance role, not operations focused on building scalable, automated, and audit-ready security systems.\n\nThe candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions: \n\nSOAR and Automation (Core): \nDefine and drive the SOAR roadmap, playbooks, and automation strategy.\nBuild end-to-end automated response workflows across SIEM, EDR, ITSM, email, and threat intel.\nEnsures safe automation with guardrails, approvals, and audit controls.\nTrack impact: MTTR reduction, automation coverage, analyst productivity.\n\nDetection Engineering: \nOwndetection lifecycle: use-case build, deploy, tune, and retire.\nMap detections to MITRE ATT& CK + risk-based prioritisation.\nDrive false-positive reduction + detection efficacy.\nEnable tight integration between detections and SOAR playbooks.\n\nLog Engineering and Data Quality: \nOwn enterprise log-onboarding strategy.\nStandardise parsing, normalisation, and data quality frameworks.\nEnsure complete, accurate, and real-time telemetry ingestion.\nBuildlog inventory and monitoring for ingestion health.\n\nUEBA (User and Entity Behaviour Analytics): \nLeadUEBA programme: onboarding, baselining, tuning.\nBuild use cases for insider threats, compromised identities, and privilege misuse.\nIntegrate UEBA signals into SOC workflows and automation.\n\nSecurity Dashboards and Reporting: \nBuild executive + operational dashboards across SIEM/SOAR/UEBA.\nEnsure accurate metrics, audit-ready reporting, and drill-down workflows.\nEnable real-time insights for leadership and incident response.\n\nRequirements: \nStrong experience in SOC engineering/security engineering (not pure SOC ops).\nHands-on with SOAR, SIEM, and detection engineering.\nExperience in automation frameworks and playbook development.\nDeep understanding of log pipelines, parsing, and normalisation.\nExposure to UEBA / behaviour analytics systems.\nStrong grasp of MITRE ATT& CK and threat detection frameworks.\n\nGood to Have: \nExperience with EDR and threat intelligence platforms.\nKnowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP).\nScripting: Python/automation tooling.\nExposure to data engineering/pipelines.\n\nQualifications: \nBachelor's in Computer Science/Engineering (or related field).\n7+ years' experience.\nSkills\nDetection, Detection Engineering, SIEM,
