A global leader in combating antisemitism, countering extremism and battling bigotry wherever and whenever it happens, ADL works to protect democracy and ensure a just and inclusive society for all.\nPRIMARY FUNCTION:\nThe Associate Director, Incident Response (IR) is responsible for leading key portfolios within ADL’s centralized IR operations, ensuring effective triage, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven response strategies. This role will specialize in some of the following areas: Extremism, Technology.\nResponsibilities\nPrimary:\nLead cross-functional incident response efforts within assigned portfolio, ensuring effective triage, management, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.\nServe as a liaison and subject matter expert, collaborating with key internal and external partners, including field and CSC teams, community partners, and advocacy groups.\nMaintain current IR Team AI workflows, assistants, and technology initiatives. \nManage data analysis and reporting daily operations and special initiatives, ensuring accurate tracking of trends, which may include but not limited to antisemitism, extremism, and/or K-12 and campus issues.\nIn coordination with internal subject matter experts and operations teams, employ a data driven approach and develop best practices for incident and crisis response.\nCoordinate incident response national initiatives, ensuring appropriate escalation of incidents to policy teams, legal counsel, or law enforcement and extremism staff.\nSecondary:\nDevelop and implement knowledge management initiatives to ensure standardized processes across all parts of incident response portfolio.\nRepresent the IR team in internal forums, trainings, and strategic partnership meetings.\nSupport the development of new reporting mechanisms, including AI tools, digital outreach, and incident documentation systems.\nContribute to team training and onboarding efforts, ensuring standardized incident response protocols.\nAssist in crisis coordination and all-hands on deck crisis response efforts\nQualifications\nSkills:\nProficiency in developing and executing incident response strategies, leading crisis communications and management, and full-cycle management of incidents\nProficiency in AI workflows, systems, assistants, and skill building.\nStrong background in independent and collaborative work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment\nStakeholder and partner relationship management\nExperience with crisis and high impact incident communications and response\nCross-functional collaboration with internal and external partners\nData analysis and reporting on incident trends in assigned portfolio \nWork Experience:\nThe ideal candidate has several years’ experience of incident response, advocacy, education policy, communications, or extremism research with a demonstrable increase in responsibility managing and collaborating with cross-functional teams, projects and partnerships. \nEducation:\nBachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Communications) or related field, or equivalent experience required.\nWork Environment:\nADL is a hybrid environment; this role will require 3 days in the office. \nCompensation:\nThis position has a salary range of $70,000 to $85,000. This salary range is reflective of a position based in New York, New York. Please note that actual salaries are commensurate with experience and reflect the budget for a given position, and since ADL has a location-based compensation structure, there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
