PRIMARY FUNCTION:

ADL Philadelphia's Regional office is looking for two dynamic Graduate Fellows to join us for a one-year appointment, with the potential option to renew for up to three total years. Reappointments will occur on an annual basis. The ideal candidate will be a current graduate student with experience in education, communications, antisemitism/holocaust education, or Jewish studies, along with an interest in community engagement and digital content creation. This fellowship provides the opportunity for graduate scholars to gain practical experience in Holocaust and digital literacy education, community leadership development, and digital narrative media production, all as part of Pennsylvania's comprehensive initiative to combat antisemitism and hate.

Responsibilities

• Serve as co-architect of Voices Rising working across five program pillars: conference co-sponsorship, K-12 digital literacy education, senior leader community of practice, digital narrative media, and young professional leadership development

• Support the development of real-time solutions to combat antisemitism and hate in Pennsylvania;

• Engage with ADL subject matter experts at all levels and become familiar with the varied work we do to "stop the defamation of the Jewish people and secure justice and fair treatment to all"

• Hands-on experience with curriculum co-facilitation, community leader convenings, and professional digital content production, with the opportunity to present your work at internal forums within ADL.

Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled as a graduate student at an accredited university or college within the ADL Philadelphia region's area of responsibility;
• Academic background or demonstrated interest in education, communications, Holocaust/antisemitism, or Jewish studies, or a related field
• Desire to build a career as an educator, researcher, or community leader with a passion for non-profit and community-based work

Work Environment:

• ADL is a hybrid environment; this role will require 3 days/week in the office.
• The fellowship is 27 hours per week with an expectation of working 46 weeks.

Compensation:

• This position has an hourly rate of $27.00. This rate is reflective of a position based in (Philadelphia, PA). Please note that actual salaries are commensurate with experience and reflect the budget for a given position, and since ADL has a location-based compensation structure, there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
