You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary R&D team, contributing to the execution of screening campaigns and routine laboratory workflows.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nPerforming microbial culture, inoculation, plating and restreaking activities using aseptic techniques.\nRunning screening campaigns involving multiple shake-flask cultures and plate-based workflows in parallel.\nPreparing, maintaining and tracking microbial cultures and samples with complete traceability.\nSupporting molecular biology workflows including transformations, colony picking and minipreps.\nPerforming routine laboratory measurements including optical density and plate-reader assays.\nSupporting sample preparation, chemical extractions and analytical workflows where required.\nMaintaining accurate laboratory records and ensuring timely documentation of experimental work.\nFollowing SOPs, laboratory procedures and quality standards to ensure reliable results.\nCollaborating with internal teams to support research and development activities.\nWhat you’ll need\nBSc, Licence Professionnelle, BTS or equivalent qualification in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or a related scientific discipline.\nPractical laboratory experience in microbiology through industry, internships, placements or academic research.\nStrong understanding of microbiological techniques and aseptic working practices.\nExperience handling microbial cultures and executing laboratory protocols accurately.\nExcellent sample organisation, labelling discipline and data integrity.\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple experiments simultaneously.\nGood data recording, analysis and communication skills.\nAbility to work independently while maintaining high laboratory standards.\nNice to have\nExperience with molecular biology techniques such as transformations, colony picking or minipreps.\nExperience with high-throughput screening workflows.\nExposure to plate readers, optical density measurements or laboratory automation systems.\nExperience with liquid-handling platforms such as VIAFLO or Opentrons.\nExperience supporting analytical or chemical extraction workflows.\nPrevious experience within a biotechnology, microbiology or industrial R&D environment.\nWhat’s in it for you?\nFull-time permanent position.\nOpportunity to contribute to innovative biotechnology research and development programmes.\nCollaborative and fast-paced scientific environment.\nTraining and professional development opportunities.\nCompetitive salary and benefits package.\nWhat’s Next?\nIf you’re an experienced Microbiology Technician looking for an exciting laboratory-focused role within an innovative biotechnology company, we’d love to hear from you.
