The focus of this position will revolve around Work Management, Source Code Management, and Pipeline Management in working with customers throughout the company, primarily involving Microsoft GitHub and Azure DevOps platforms and products.\n\nResponsibilities: \nManage code using Git, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews.\nCollaborate with other developers through Issues, Discussions, and Projects.\nMaintain and contribute to repositories, including documentation, README files, and CI/CD workflows.\nDevelop and implement new features, fix bugs, and optimise existing code.\nWork with Actions/pipelines for automation and deployment.\nMonitor and manage repository security and access control.\nContribute to open-source or internal packages/modules if applicable.\nEmbed with less knowledgeable end-user teams to improve or reconcile their utilisation of DevOps systems and practices.\nCreate DevOps-related documentation or training for others to utilise.\nReview and approve YAML code.\nMentor and coach other team members.\nProvide status updates for completing stakeholder status reports.\nCreate/Update automation processes/scripts.\nWork with Architectural resources in the creation or improvement of DevOps practices, patterns, and standards.\nComplete tasks within specified deadlines.\nUnderstand the portfolio of opportunities and how we can successfully move the organisation forward strategically.\n\nRequirements: \nBachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related field, plus 6 years of experience with Microsoft Application development or a related occupation in DevOps Development.\n\nMust have the Following Professional Skills/experience: \n5+ years of experience as a Developer using DevOps practices.\n5+ years of experience as a Developer using DevOps Systems.\n5+ years of experience working with Build and Release automation.\n5+ years of experience working with GIT repositories.\n5+ years of experience in application analysis, design and n-tiered architectural patterns.\n5+ years of experience in ADMinistration of DevOps Systems.\n4+ years of experience using PowerShell, or an equivalent scripting language.\n4+ years of experience using Docker and container orchestration.\n4+ years of experience working with Agile and ITIL methodologies.\n4+ years of experience in Cloud-Based Technologies and platforms (Azure is highly preferred).\nExtensive keyboard operations.\nPerform on-call duties.\nWork occasional weekends, holidays and overtime.\n4 Year degree in an IT-related field or equivalent competency.\n\nTechnical Requirements: \nMicrosoft GitHub or Azure DevOps:\nWork Management.\nSource Code Management.\nPipeline Management.\nArtefact Management.\nUnderstanding of the available APIs.\nExperience working within, or ADMinistering, a GitHub Organisation.\nUnderstanding of the available APIs.\nUnderstanding of Policies, Workflows, Security, Actions and Runners.\nYAML:\nUnderstand how to write and debug YAML in Pipelines.\nFamiliarity with standard Pipeline Tasks and reusable libraries.\nObject oriented and/or script-based languages, incl. unit testing:\n. Net and/or Java\nJavaScript Frameworks (Angular, React, Node)\nPython\nPowerShell\nBash\nPackage Management Systems:\nNuGet\nNode\nPip\nMaven, Nexus\nArtifactory\nWeb Development:\nHTML, HTML5\nMVC, Bootstrap, or other similar frameworks\nCSS, CSS5\nDatabase technologies\nSQL Server:\nUnderstanding and experience with Stored Procedures, Indexes, Keys, Triggers and Tables.\nContainerization/Containers.\nDocker experience.\nKubernetes experience a plus.\nCode Quality:\nTechnical debt, coverage (SonarQube or equivalent).\nSAST (AquaSec or equivalent).\nOpen Systems Development Skills:\nUnderstanding of Agile, Scrum, and ITIL methodologies.\nUnderstanding of CI/CD concepts.\nARM, Bicep, Terraform, XML, XLST, XSD, SOAP, REST, WSDL.\n\nSoft skills:
