You’ll bring quality into decisions early, helping teams spot risks, prevent avoidable problems and understand when a change is ready to release.\nYour impact will extend beyond individual releases. Through reliable automation, practical testing strategies and coaching, you’ll help teams across Veygo deliver better customer experiences with greater confidence.\nWhat you’ll be responsible for\nOwn your squad’s testing strategy. Define how products are tested end to end, balancing risk, coverage, speed and release confidence.\nStay hands-on. Explore new journeys, investigate unexpected behaviour and test changes alongside the automation you build.\nBuild reliable automation. Design and maintain frameworks across web, mobile, APIs and system-level journeys, holding test code to the same standards as production code.\nImprove delivery feedback. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, investigate failures and keep test suites useful, reliable and maintainable.\nBring quality into discovery. Help shape requirements and influence architecture so teams consider risk and testability from the start.\nMake quality a shared responsibility. Partner with Product Managers, Designers and Engineers to understand customer journeys, challenge decisions constructively and resolve issues.\nRaise standards across teams. Mentor QAs and engineers, share effective practices and improve processes that create unnecessary effort or slow feedback.\nDevelop our use of AI. Use AI-assisted and agentic engineering tools to improve testing and efficiency, applying sound judgement and taking ownership of the results.\nWhat we’re looking for\nYou’ll have significant experience in software development in test or software engineering with a strong focus on automation and quality. You’ll be comfortable setting direction while staying close to the code and the customer experience.\nYou’ll bring:\nStrong practical experience with test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Espresso, XCUITest or WebdriverIO.\nExperience writing clean, maintainable test automation in TypeScript or JavaScript.\nExperience testing native Android and iOS apps, including running builds locally and validating behaviour across devices, operating systems and app versions.\nAn understanding of testing journeys across web, mobile, backend services and third-party integrations.\nExperience with cloud-based device testing platforms such as BrowserStack.\nStrong experience with CI/CD pipelines and how automated testing supports reliable releases.\nAn approach that brings quality, risk and testability into the earliest stages of development.\nExperience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or similar.\nClear communication skills and the confidence to influence technical decisions through constructive challenge.\nCuriosity, practical judgement and a willingness to share your knowledge.\nOur technology\nOur core test automation uses Cypress, with TypeScript and JavaScript for web and system-level testing.
