Act as a senior technical resource for junior technicians, promoting a strong safety culture and high technical performance.\nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES\nJOB-SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES\nA. Rotating Equipment Maintenance (Execution & Troubleshooting)\nPerform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, blowers, and utility packages.\nDiagnose mechanical faults, verify failure causes, and carry out repairs such as bearing replacement, alignment, seal replacement, and balancing.\nConduct post-maintenance test runs to verify equipment efficiency and operational readiness.\nExecute condition-based maintenance activities based on vibration readings, oil analysis results, and temperature/pressure trends.\nB. Support Commissioning & Startup Activities\nAssist commissioning teams during installation, alignment, pre-commissioning, and functional testing of new rotating machinery.\nParticipate in project documentation review, including vendor manuals and commissioning records.\nSupport acceptance, punch list closeout, and handover of rotating equipment packages.\nC. Predictive & Preventive Maintenance\nPerform predictive maintenance techniques such as vibration checks, thermography, acoustic detection, oil sampling, and performance monitoring.\nEnsure preventive maintenance tasks are completed in accordance with OEM manuals, ADNOC procedures, and rotating reliability requirements.\nD. Technical and Reliability Support\nIdentify reliability risks related to rotating equipment and escalate persistent failures to Supervisor or Rotating SMEs.\nProvide feedback to improve PM routines, inspection frequencies, and procedural updates.\nAssist in RCA investigations for rotating failures and help implement corrective actions.\nApply best practices in rotating equipment maintenance to improve MTBF and reduce unplanned shutdowns.\nE. Materials, Tools & Equipment Management\nIdentify spare parts and tools needed to complete rotating maintenance tasks.\nEnsure proper handling, storage, and preservation of bearings, seals, couplings, and precision components.\nMaintain, inspect, and report conditions of specialized rotating tools such as dial indicators, laser alignment tools, bearing heaters, torque wrenches, and portable vibration devices.\nF. Documentation, Reporting & CMMS Updates\nRecord maintenance work, failure findings, and job details in CMMS (MAXIMO).\nMaintain and update rotating equipment maintenance histories, alignment records, inspection reports, and test run logs.\nProvide accurate daily activity reports and inputs for maintenance dashboards.\nG. Support to Junior Staff\nShare technical knowledge and mentor junior and trainee technicians, especially in safe handling of rotating equipment.\nDemonstrate safe work practices and guide new staff during troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.\nGeneric ACCOUNTABILITIES\nA. Policies, Systems & Procedures\nFollow all ADNOC maintenance policies, procedures, COPs, and HSEMS controls.\nEnsure compliance with PTW, LOTO, confined space entry, SIMOPS, and other safety systems.\nB. Safety & Sustainability\nMaintain strong commitment to HSE in all rotating equipment operations.\nIdentify hazards during maintenance and take corrective action immediately.\nParticipate in drills, emergency response roles, and toolbox talks.\nReport unsafe conditions, near-misses, and equipment abnormalities promptly.\nC. Tool Management\nEnsure all tools, PPE, and equipment are maintained in good working condition.\nReport defects and arrange for timely repairs or replacements.\nD. Time & Work Management\nComplete assigned work within planned timeframes and escalate issues that may delay execution.\nCoordinate with supervisor for additional resources when required.\nE. Continuous Improvement\nIdentify opportunities for optimizing rotating maintenance tasks and system improvements.\nSupport improvement initiatives related to reliability, safety, and performance.\nF. Housekeeping\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment before, during, and after job execution.\nG. Reporting\nProvide technical information for maintenance progress reports, KPI tracking, and rotating equipment performance summaries.\nCOMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:\nInternal\nDaily interaction with Rotating Supervisor, Mechanical Technicians, Planning, Operations, HSE, FI/BU, and Reliability teams.\nCoordination with shutdown planning teams and control room personnel.\nSupport senior staff during technical reviews and maintenance planning.\nExternal\nContact with OEM specialists, service representatives, and rotating equipment vendors.\nInterface with contractors and project teams during commissioning, testing, and maintenance activities.\nQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:\nMinimum Qualification\nDiploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.\nMinimum Experience\n6+ years’ experience in mechanical maintenance of rotating equipment in oil & gas.\nExperience with pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, and utility rotating systems.\nExposure to commissioning, startup, shutdown, and project handover processes.\nProfessional Certifications\nNA\nKnowledge & Skills\nStrong hands-on skills in rotating machinery maintenance, alignment, and troubleshooting.\nKnowledge of bearings, mechanical seals, couplings, lubrication systems, and vibration fundamentals.\nAbility to interpret P&IDs, rotating equipment drawings, and vendor documentation.\nFamiliarity with predictive maintenance tools and reliability improvement methods.\nCompetence in CMMS (MAXIMO preferred).\nCommitment to safety and hazard identification.\nGood
