In this hands-on IC role, you will set standards for reliability, security, and performance across healthcare products serving enterprise physician groups.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign, build, and own secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using IaC, reusable modules, and paved-road patterns.\n\nOwn and improve our data infrastructure, including Postgres, RDS/Aurora, and Snowflake, with a focus on reliability, HA, backups, disaster recovery, and migrations.\n\nBuild and maintain a self-service developer platform, including CI/CD, testing, and local and ephemeral environments that enable teams to ship quickly and safely.\n\nEstablish observability standards with Datadog, including monitoring, alerting, and tracing.\n\nRaise engineering standards around maintainability, performance, reliability, code quality, and security through standards, code review, and mentorship.\n\nPartner with product teams to turn engineering friction into platform capabilities while strengthening security in a HIPAA and SOC 2 environment, including IAM, network security, and PHI handling.\n\nDevelop AI-natively, using tools like Claude Code to design, build, review, and operate systems with strong judgment around validation and oversight.\n\nStay current with emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve platform capabilities and operational efficiency.\n\nWho You Are\n6+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure.\n\nStrong ownership mindset, with experience building operational maturity, standards, and scalable systems rather than simply maintaining existing infrastructure.\n\nComfortable working across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, developer tooling, data infrastructure, and application support.\n\nStrong experience with:\nAWS, including Fargate, Lambda, Step Functions, and related services\n\nTerraform and Infrastructure as Code\n\nPython 3\n\nPostgres (RDS/Aurora) and DynamoDB, including HA, backups, disaster recovery, and migrations\n\nSnowflake or a similar cloud data platform\n\nDocker and containerized workflows\n\nWorkflow orchestration tools, particularly Temporal (also Airflow or similar). - Familiarity with HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance processes.\n\nDatadog for monitoring, alerting, and tracing\n\nGitHub and CI/CD, including GitHub Actions\n\nExperience working in a regulated environment such as healthcare or finance, with an understanding of security and sensitive data requirements.\n\nThe base salary range for this position is $190,000 to $210,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Adonis determines compensation based on each candidate’s experience and qualifications relative to peers, and most new hires fall near the middle of the range.
