These applications are used by network operators to manage their networks built upon Optical Transport devices.  \nThe successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and continually improving our products using new technologies and best agile practices, and will work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure the product meets the needs of our customers.  \nThe  Software Engineer will be the first engineer in the team responsible for full-stack development and the only engineer responsible for GUI development. Other teams within the organization already include engineers working on full-stack development.  \n\nDuties and Responsibilities \nThe primary responsibility will be developing front-end and some back-end features for the SDO Controller and Mosaic Network Controller product\n\nDesign and implement new product features using React, Java and Spring technologies\n\nDesign or assist in design new features for the SDO controller product\n\nDevelop an enhancements for existing software\n\nContribute to feasibility studies of needed software development\n\nDocument the design including features definition and architecture    \n\nParticipate in design reviews and code reviews\n\nDevelop unit and component-level tests for implemented software modules and enhancements \n\nCoordinate development activities across teams while meeting project schedules \n\nFix software bugs found during all testing phases\n\nWork with the team to deploy and test incremental software releases\n\nBasic Qualifications  \nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent education required   \n\nAt least 4 years of professional experience as a Front-end or Full-stack Developer \n\nA solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering  \n\nAt least 2 years of experience developing React-based applications\n\nExperience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js\n\nExperience with React test frameworks (Jest or similar)  \n\nExperience developing UI components using Storybook and collaborating with UX designers using Figma or equivalent tools \n\nProgramming skills in Java (good knowledge of Java 8+, in project we use Java 25) \n\nKnowledge of software construction techniques \n\nKnowledge of object-oriented design principles and design patterns \n\nKnowledge of Linux system \n\nExperience with JUnit \n\nExperience designing and consuming REST APIs. \n\nKnowledge of relational databases and SQL \n\nExperience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot \n\nExcellent teamwork abilities.  \n\nWork experience with version control systems (Git).\n\nAt least B1 English proficiency level.  \n\nPreferred Qualifications   \nExperience with developing and deploying large scale interactive React based applications \n\nExperience with testing tools such as Jest, Cypress Selenium  \n\nStrong focus on assuring code quality\n\nCompensation and Benefits \nStable employment conditions based on an employment contract
