This role applies IPC-A-610 requirements and quality-engineering expertise to support printed circuit board assembly lines, mechanical assembly operations, and functional test areas. The Senior Quality Engineer also leads investigations, supports corrective actions, and partners with manufacturing, test, and design engineering teams to improve product quality and process performance.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nInvestigate quality issues, identify root causes, and define appropriate corrective actions.\nEvaluate and disposition material in accordance with IPC-A-610 workmanship standards.\nSupport the implementation and verification of corrective actions that improve product quality, productivity, reliability, and process efficiency.\nDevelop and review work instructions to document manufacturing and quality processes.\nLead Quality Data Review meetings to evaluate quality trends, establish priorities, and coordinate follow-up actions.\nProvide daily support for manufacturing data-collection, scanning, and labeling systems and resolve related issues.\nReview and approve deviations, waivers, and rework instructions\nFacilitate purge implementation for manufacturing.\nCoordinate and provide technical guidance for the daily activities of Quality Inspectors.\nPerform other projects and assignments as needed to support the changing priorities of the department and the Company.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications\nHigh School diploma or GED equivalent required.\nFive to eight years of quality engineering experience required.\nWorking knowledge of IPC-A-610 workmanship standards required.\nExcellent communication skills.\nAbility to analyze quality trends and perform root-cause analysis.\nAbility to develop and implement manufacturing process controls utilizing SPC methods.\nWorking knowledge of the tools and systems used to monitor manufacturing processes and produce high-quality products.\nMust be familiar with interpreting BOMs and mechanical assembly drawings.\nAbility to interpret manufacturers' datasheets and use the documented specifications to determine component validity.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nNo travel is expected in this position.\nPreferred Qualifications (Optional)\nBachelor's degree in engineering preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.\nIPC-A-600 preferred.\nIPC WHMA-A-620 preferred.\nExperience with enterprise and manufacturing systems, including SAP and Aegis FactoryLogix, and with AI productivity tools, including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude, preferred.\nSix Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
