We are looking for a Student with a genuine interest in the optical layer: how light is multiplexed, switched, amplified and transmitted over fibre, and how to prove that a real network does it correctly.\nTasks and responsibilities\nSupporting senior colleagues with lab setup and management\nDevelopment of test cases in test management system\nConfiguration and maintenance of test environments according to test tasks\nDocumentation and tracking of defects in test management system\nCreation and performance of end-to-end test scenarios that include wide hardware and test equipment usage\nUsage of measurement equipment and test applications necessary for all tasks in SVT\nDevelopment or use of automated tests according to test purpose\nOwn controlling of quality and documentation of test tasks\nSupport of named internal and external customers\nReporting periodically to the responsible Manager SVT\nIndependent learning about new technologies, test methods and usage of measurement equipment\nKnowledge, skills and experience required\n3rd - 5th year Student of Telecommunications, Electronics, Physics / Photonics / Optoelectronics, or a similar faculty\nAvailable to work at least 24h per week\nVery good written and spoken English\nFamiliarity with optical networks design, optical transport protocols DWDM, OTN ethernet\nUnderstanding of DWDM systems, including the role of ROADMs (WSS, add/drop, colorless/directionless) and optical amplifiers (EDFA, Raman - gain, noise figure, tilt)\nExperience in development and/or usage of automation scripts / AI would be beneficial\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, Self-motivated, teamwork oriented and well organized\nCompensation and Benefits\nLong-term paid internship -
