The role is part of a merit-based organization with a culture of professional growth and development, and emphasis on the latest tools, platforms and technologies.\nWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Unix Administration & Backup/Storage Platform Engineer to lead and manage enterprise Unix/Linux, Backup, Storage, and Recovery platforms across on-premises and cloud environments. This role will serve as a technical leader responsible for platform stability, automation, recovery readiness, storage operations, and infrastructure resiliency across hybrid cloud environments.\nThe ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Unix/Linux Administration, Commvault, NetApp, IBM Storage, Nutanix, and cloud-native backup and recovery solutions in Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nKey Responsibilities\nUnix / Linux Administration (Primary Focus)Own and manage enterprise Unix/Linux infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.\nAdminister, configure, harden, patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot Linux platforms.\nLead OS lifecycle management, security compliance, vulnerability remediation, and performance tuning activities.\nDevelop and maintain standard OS builds, automation, and configuration management processes.\nSupport application onboarding, middleware integration, and infrastructure services running on Linux platforms.\nTroubleshoot complex operating system, performance, networking, storage, and application-related issues.\nDrive automation using Shell scripting, Python, Ansible, or similar tools.\nPartner with Security, Application, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams to ensure platform resiliency and operational excellence.\n\nBackup & Storage AdministrationOwn and manage enterprise Backup & Storage platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.\nServe as the primary SME for backup, recovery, replication, storage, and disaster recovery technologies.\nDesign, implement, administer, and support backup, recovery, storage, replication, and business continuity solutions.\nManage and support Commvault Backup & Recovery, including administration, configuration, upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, optimization, and recovery operations.\nAdminister enterprise storage platforms including NetApp and IBM Storage.\nSupport and manage Nutanix infrastructure and virtualization platforms.\nImplement and optimize Azure Native Backup and GCP Backup & Recovery solutions.\nDefine and manage backup policies, retention policies, storage lifecycle management, governance, compliance, and disaster recovery standards.\nPerform storage architecture reviews, capacity planning, performance analysis, optimization, and technology refresh initiatives.\nLead backup restore testing, disaster recovery exercises, and business continuity validation activities.\nSupport backup and recovery operations for enterprise databases including Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DB2, and MongoDB.\nTroubleshoot complex backup, storage, replication, and recovery issues across hybrid cloud environments.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\n8+ years of experience in Unix/Linux Administration, Storage, Backup, and Infrastructure Operations.\nStrong hands-on Linux administration experience in enterprise environments.\nExperience managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Unix/Linux platforms, patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, and automation.\nStrong expertise with Commvault Backup & Recovery.\nExperience administering NetApp and IBM Storage platforms.\nExperience supporting Nutanix infrastructure and virtualization environments.\nHands-on experience with Azure Backup and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Backup & Recovery services.\nStrong understanding of storage technologies, backup strategies, retention management, replication, deduplication, ransomware protection, and disaster recovery.\nExperience supporting enterprise databases including Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DB2, and MongoDB.\nExperience with capacity planning, performance tuning, infrastructure operations, and platform lifecycle management.\nStrong troubleshooting, incident management, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to lead cross-functional technical initiatives and major incident resolution efforts.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Shell Scripting, Python, or PowerShell.\nExperience supporting hybrid cloud environments across Azure and GCP.\nCloud certifications in Azure or Google Cloud Platform.\nCommvault, NetApp, Nutanix, Linux, or
