This role serves as a senior technical resource responsible for developing complex civil engineering solutions, providing technical leadership, and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering efforts throughout all phases of project execution.\nThe ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in site development, grading, drainage, foundations, and utility infrastructure for large-scale industrial and energy projects. This individual will serve as a technical leader, mentor junior engineers, and support project planning, client engagement, and construction activities.\nWhat You'll Do\nEngineering Leadership & Design\nLead civil engineering design activities for power generation, renewable energy, BESS, substation, transmission, and industrial infrastructure projects. \nDevelop and review conceptual studies, feasibility evaluations, preliminary engineering, and detailed design packages. \nLead the design and analysis of: \nSite grading plans \nStormwater management systems \nDrainage systems \nErosion and sediment control plans \nAccess roads and site circulation layouts \nUnderground utility systems \nEquipment foundations \nRetaining walls and site structures \nHeavy industrial site development projects • Perform and review advanced engineering calculations related to: \nHydrology and hydraulics \nStormwater runoff \nEarthwork quantities \nFoundation loading \nRetaining structures \nSite stabilization \nUtility infrastructure • Develop engineering reports, technical studies, and design basis documentation. \nProject Execution\nLead civil engineering scope through conceptual design, detailed engineering, procurement support, construction, and commissioning phases. \nManage civil engineering deliverables, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements. \nCoordinate closely with mechanical, structural, electrical, process, environmental, and project management teams. \nParticipate in project planning, risk assessments, constructability reviews, and design reviews. \nIdentify and resolve technical issues while ensuring project objectives are achieved. \nSupport project estimating, scope development, and proposal activities. \nConstruction & Field Support\nProvide senior-level engineering support during construction and commissioning activities. \nConduct site investigations, field assessments, and constructability evaluations. \nSupport contractor coordination and resolution of field issues. \nReview Requests for Information (RFIs), contractor submittals, and construction documentation. \nAssist with startup activities and verification of civil installations. \nPermitting & Regulatory Compliance\nSupport environmental permitting and regulatory approval efforts. \nCoordinate with regulatory agencies, environmental consultants, and clients. \nEnsure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. \nReview and approve stormwater management plans, erosion control measures, and site development documentation. \nSupport preparation of permit applications and technical reports. \nTechnical Leadership & Mentorship\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level civil engineers and designers. \nReview engineering work products for technical accuracy, constructability, and compliance with company standards. \nSupport development of civil engineering standards, procedures, and best practices. \nParticipate in recruiting, training, and professional development initiatives. \nPromote continuous improvement and lessons learned across projects. \nWhat You'll Bring\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university. \nProfessional Engineer (PE) license required or strongly preferred. \nMinimum 8-12 years of relevant civil engineering experience. \nSignificant experience supporting EPC, power generation, renewable energy, utility, transmission, substation, or industrial infrastructure projects. \nExperience leading civil engineering scope on multidisciplinary projects preferred. \nAbility to travel periodically for site visits, field verification, and project activities. \nTechnical Skills\n Proficiency with:\nAutoCAD Civil 3D \nAutoCAD \nBluebeam \nMicroStation (preferred) \nGIS platforms (preferred) \nHydrology and hydraulic modeling software \nMicrosoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) • Strong experience with: \nSite development design \nStormwater management \nDrainage systems \nUtility infrastructure \nFoundation design coordination \nHeavy industrial
