Discover how your skills and dedication can make a real difference to us.\nAbout this Role\nNorthStar Energy Solutions, a Quanta Services Company, is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the successful execution of electric utility construction projects. In this role, you will provide field leadership for construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements. You will serve as the primary field representative, working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, clients, and utility representatives to coordinate construction activities, resolve issues, and drive project success from mobilization through project closeout.\nWhat You'll Do\nConstruction Leadership\nLead day-to-day construction activities on electric utility projects, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.\nCoordinate field operations with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and utility representatives.\nMonitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve field issues that may impact safety, schedule, or quality.\nEnsure all work complies with company safety policies, client requirements, and applicable regulations.\nProject Coordination\nSupport project planning by coordinating labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor activities.\nAssist with project scheduling and monitor progress to help ensure milestones are achieved.\nCoordinate outages, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities with project stakeholders.\nMaintain effective communication between field operations and project management teams.\nClient & Contractor Relations\nServe as a primary field contact for clients, subcontractors, inspectors, and utility representatives.\nParticipate in project meetings and provide updates on construction progress, challenges, and upcoming activities.\nBuild and maintain positive working relationships with clients and project stakeholders.\nQuality & Safety\nPromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all company, client, OSHA, and regulatory safety requirements.\nConduct regular site inspections to verify quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications.\nIdentify deficiencies and oversee corrective actions to maintain project quality standards.\nDocumentation & Reporting\nMaintain accurate daily reports, field documentation, and project records.\nAssist with tracking production, equipment utilization, material deliveries, and workforce productivity.\nSupport project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, punch lists, and project closeout activities.\nWhat You'll Bring\n8+ years of construction management or field leadership experience in electric utility construction.\nStrong understanding of utility construction methods, safety practices, scheduling, and project execution.\nTransmission and substation construction experience is a plus.\nExperience coordinating contractors, subcontractors, and multiple project stakeholders.\nWorking knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.\nStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.\nWillingness to travel to project sites as required.\nWhat You'll Get\nAs a Quanta Services employee, we offer a wide range of benefits to fit your needs.\n401(k) with immediate matching and vesting\nFully comprehensive benefits packages; Medical, Dental, VisionYour choice of PPO, HSA, FSA\n\nShort term and long term benefits\nEmployee discounts on consumer goods\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
