This role is responsible for independently executing engineering assignments, developing detailed instrumentation deliverables, and supporting EPC project execution from conceptual design through construction and commissioning.\nThe ideal candidate will have solid experience in industrial instrumentation and control systems, strong technical capability in PLC/DCS environments, and the ability to work independently within multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nWhat You'll Do\nInstrumentation & Control System Design\nDevelop and support instrumentation and control system designs for EPC projects.\nPrepare and revise:Instrument indexes and I/O lists \nInstrument data sheets and specifications \nControl system architecture drawings \nLoop diagrams and wiring diagrams \nP&ID markups and control narrativesSupport selection and specification of field instrumentation including: \nPressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments \nControl valves, actuators, and positioners \nAnalytical and process monitoring devicesEnsure instrumentation designs align with project requirements and applicable standards. \n\nControl Systems Engineering\nDevelop PLC, DCS, and SCADA system documentation and design deliverables.\nPerform I/O mapping and assist with control logic development.\nPrepare functional descriptions and control narratives for process systems.\nReview control system configurations and vendor documentation.\nSupport integration of automation systems into overall facility design.\nProject Execution Support\nExecute instrumentation engineering tasks through conceptual design, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.\nDevelop material take-offs (MTOs), instrument lists, and equipment schedules.\nReview vendor submittals and ensure compliance with project specifications.\nTrack assigned deliverables and ensure alignment with project schedules and milestones.\nSupport preparation of construction and commissioning documentation packages.\nMultidisciplinary Coordination\nCoordinate instrumentation designs with electrical, mechanical, civil, structural, and process engineering teams.\nParticipate in interdisciplinary design reviews and coordination meetings.\nResolve interface issues between instrumentation, electrical systems, and process equipment.\nSupport integration of control systems into overall facility design.\nConstruction & Commissioning Support\nSupport field verification activities and site visits as required.\nRespond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and assist in resolving field engineering issues.\nAssist with loop checks, calibration, and functional testing during construction and commissioning.\nUpdate documentation based on field conditions and as-built requirements.\nSupport startup and system commissioning activities.\nQuality & Standards\nEnsure compliance with company engineering standards, project specifications, and applicable codes.\nPerform technical reviews and quality checks of instrumentation deliverables.\nMaintain accurate and organized engineering documentation and revision control.\nSupport continuous improvement of instrumentation design workflows and practices.\nWhat You'll Bring\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.\nMinimum 3-5 years of instrumentation and control systems engineering experience.\nExperience in EPC, power generation, industrial, utility, or infrastructure projects preferred.\nEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.\nTechnical Skills\nStrong knowledge of:Instrumentation principles and process control systems \nPLC, DCS, and SCADA system design \nIndustrial automation and control architecturesExperience with: \nInstrument data sheets and specifications \nLoop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs \nControl system documentation and configuration reviewProficiency with: \nAutoCAD \nMicrosoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Experience with SmartPlant Instrumentation, Aveva, or similar tools is a plus. \n\nProfessional Skills\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent attention to detail and technical accuracy.\nStrong communication and teamwork
