This role provides field leadership for aboveground and belowground piping systems and is responsible for ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications, quality requirements, and customer expectations.\nWhat You'll Do\nLead and oversee all piping installation activities from material receipt through testing and system turnover.\nDirect supervision of union foremen, craft labor, equipment operators, and subcontractors to ensure safe and productive work execution.\nChampion Quanta Power Solutions' safety culture by enforcing all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.\nPlan and coordinate piping installation activities, including fit-up, welding, rigging, setting, testing, inspections, and turnover.\nManage the installation of process piping, utility piping, cooling water systems, fire protection systems, fuel gas piping, condensate piping, and other plant piping systems.\nEnsure piping installations meet project drawings, specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes.\nCoordinate with civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, and startup teams to support overall project execution.\nMonitor manpower, equipment utilization, productivity, and material deliveries to maintain schedule and budget targets.\nIdentify and resolve field conflicts, constructability issues, and installation challenges.\nOversee hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing, flushing, cleaning, inspections, and turnover activities.\nConduct regular safety meetings, jobsite inspections, and field audits.\nTrack project progress and proactively address schedule impacts, labor challenges, and productivity concerns.\nMaintain accurate reporting on labor, production, and project milestones.\nFoster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.\nWhat You'll Bring\nMinimum 7 years of experience in industrial piping construction, power generation, refinery, petrochemical, heavy industrial, or related construction projects.\nProven leadership experience as a Superintendent, General Foreman, or Foreman overseeing piping construction operations on union projects.\nStrong knowledge of piping installation methods, welding processes, rigging practices, and field construction techniques.\nExperience installing carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, HDPE, PVC, fiberglass, and other piping systems.\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, specifications, spool drawings, and project schedules.\nCompetent in cranes, rigging, and heavy lifts associated with piping construction.\nStrong understanding of quality control requirements, testing procedures, and turnover documentation.\nDemonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.\nExcellent communication, leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.\nOSHA 30 certification preferred.\nPreferred Experience\nCombined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant construction.\nSimple-cycle or thermal power generation projects.\nLarge-bore process piping installation.\nHigh-energy piping systems.\nASME B31.1 and B31.3 piping code applications.\nPressure testing, flushing, and system commissioning support.\nLarge-scale EPC power projects.\nUnion craft labor management.\nWhat You'll Get\nCompetitive Compensation \nWeekly Pay \n401(k) Retirement Plan \nHoliday Pay \nPaid Time Off (PTO) \nComprehensive Health Coverage \nPet Insurance \nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) \nProfessional Development Opportunities \nTuition Assistance \nEmployee Discount Program\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
