Discover how your skills and dedication can make a real difference to us.\nAbout this Role\nNorthStar Energy Solutions, a Quanta Services Company, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful execution of electric utility construction projects. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership for project teams, subcontractors, and client relationships while overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle.\nThe ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing complex electric utility construction projects and excels at leading teams, building strong client relationships, and delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, financial performance, and customer satisfaction across multiple projects.\nWhat You'll Do\nProject Leadership & Execution\nLead all phases of the project lifecycle, from project kickoff through commissioning and closeout.\nManage project handoffs from the estimating team and establish baseline project schedules.\nIdentify schedule constraints, assign responsible parties, and maintain accurate project schedules through weekly updates.\nProactively manage schedule changes and unplanned project events to minimize impacts on project delivery.\nPlanning & Coordination\nDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.\nCoordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project requirements.\nMonitor project progress and proactively address issues that could impact schedule, cost, or quality.\nClient & Stakeholder Management\nLead weekly project meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.\nServe as the primary point of contact for project communications, providing regular updates, resolving issues, and maintaining strong client relationships.\nFoster collaboration among project teams to ensure successful project execution.\nFinancial & Risk Management\nManage project budgets, cost tracking, change orders, and risk mitigation activities.\nPrepare and report project financial metrics, including Percent Complete, Cost-to-Complete, and Work-in-Progress (WIP).\nReview and approve Accounts Payable (AP) invoices and prepare Accounts Receivable (AR) invoices for client billing.\nMaintain and coordinate change order logs with operations to support formal client requests and contract modifications.\nWhat You'll Bring\n10+ years of experience managing electric utility construction projects\nStrong understanding of construction jobsite operations, processes, and safety procedures.\nPMP®, CMRP®, or equivalent professional certification is preferred.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients, management, subcontractors, customers, and permitting agencies.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.\nStrong computer aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new software systems and project management tools.\nEffective planning, scheduling, and delegation skills.\nWorking knowledge of project billing processes, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nWhat You'll Get\nAs a Quanta Services employee, we offer a wide range of benefits to fit your needs.\n401(k) with immediate matching and vesting\nFully comprehensive benefits packages; Medical, Dental, VisionYour choice of PPO, HSA, FSA\n\nShort term and long term benefits\nEmployee discounts on consumer goods\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
