Cassidy, Inc. is a leader in electrical systems and power solutions, providing cutting-edge services to a wide range of industries. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Substation Journeyman to join our team. This position will focus on substation relay and apparatus testing, with a strong emphasis on ensuring the safe and effective operation of electrical power systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, an eye for detail, and a willingness to travel frequently for project work.\nWhat You'll Do\nInstall and maintain equipmentTransformers, circuit breakers, switches, relays, and control systems\n\nPerform inspections and testingDiagnose faults using specialized tools and test equipment\n\nRepair and troubleshootIdentify electrical or mechanical issues and fix them efficiently\n\nRead and interpret technical documentsBlueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams\n\nEnsure safety complianceFollow OSHA and company safety procedures when working with high-voltage systems\n\nOperate heavy equipmentBucket trucks, cranes, and other machinery for installation and repair\n\nAssist in construction projectsBuild new substations or upgrade existing ones\n\nTravel Requirements:\nExtensive travel is required, with some trips lasting several weeks. Travel schedules are planned in advance, with periods of high travel demand expected\nWhat You'll Bring\nAt least 2 years of experience in testing and commissioning electrical power systems and controls.
