At our core, we are Advanced Energy - powering the future, together.\nPOSITION SUMMARY: \nWe're looking for an Electronic Engineer I to join our RF Delivery Systems (RFDS) team and help develop next-generation RF power products used in advanced semiconductor manufacturing. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career engineers who want hands-on experience with RF systems, power electronics, product development, and advanced test technologies.\nThis position is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving technical challenges, working in a laboratory environment, and developing expertise in RF systems, power electronics, automation, and product development.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nContribute to the design, testing, and optimization of RF and power electronic subsystems, including sensors, AC/DC converters, control circuitry, and related hardware.\nPerform hands-on validation and troubleshooting using advanced laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers (VNAs), power meters, signal generators, LCR meters, and electronic loads.\nDevelop and utilize automation tools using Python, MATLAB, or similar technologies to interface with test equipment, automate data collection, improve testing efficiency, and expand data analysis capabilities.\nAnalyze manufacturing and field performance data to identify trends, improve reliability, and enhance product performance.\nConduct product failure root cause investigations and support implementation of corrective actions. \nSupport design reviews, engineering documentation, product qualification, and release activities. \nExecute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to support continuous product improvement.\nCollaborate across multidisciplinary teams, including Reliability Engineering, Firmware Engineering, Test Engineering, New Product Introduction, Program Management, Quality, and Field Applications Engineering, to support product development, qualification, and customer success.\nManage assigned technical tasks and contribute to project milestones, schedules, and deliverables.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nLocation: Fort Collins, Colorado\nEnvironment: Combination of office and laboratory environments with frequent hands-on interaction with development hardware and test equipment\nOccasional travel may be required\nQUALIFICATIONS :\nFoundational knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysis, power electronics, RF fundamentals, and test methodologies.\nAbility to read and interpret schematics, specifications, and engineering documentation.\nUnderstanding of laboratory test equipment and engineering measurement techniques.\nFamiliarity with RF concepts such as impedance matching, Smith Charts, and forward/reflected power measurements is preferred.\nKnowledge of simulation and modeling techniques, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA), is desirable.\nExperience using Python, MATLAB, or similar technical computing tools is desirable.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.\nDemonstrated curiosity, initiative, and commitment to continuous learning.\nEXPERIENCE:\nEntry-level role with relevant experience gained through internships, co-ops, research projects, senior design projects, military technical experience, or professional engineering positions.\nDemonstrated technical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving abilities are highly valued.\nEDUCATION:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline required.\nCOMPENSATION:\nAs required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
