Partner with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, NPI, Quality, and Production teams to ensure assembly documentation accurately reflects product design intent, manufacturing requirements, quality standards, and actual production line practices, enabling safe, efficient, and repeatable assembly operations.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nCreate and maintain detailed manufacturing drawings, OMS, assembly work instructions, exploded views, and visual aids from approved 3D CAD models, engineering releases, sketches, layouts, and technical notes. Contributes design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation and quality of product.\nTranslate complex 3D CAD assemblies into clear, accurate, and production-ready assembly documentation, defining:\nAssembly sequence and workflow\nFastening methods and hardware requirements\nCritical dimensions and tolerances\nTorque specifications\nInspection and quality checkpoints\nTooling and fixture requirements\nOperator’s safety considerations\nSupport Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), PFMEA, and process optimization activities by incorporating manufacturing requirements into assembly documentation.\nRecommend documentation and design improvements that enhance manufacturability, assembly efficiency, product quality, ergonomics, and process repeatability.\nMaintain engineering documentation, CAD files, OMS records, and graphical assets within document control systems in accordance with company standards.\nMaintain and verify Bills of Material (BOMs) against engineering drawings, 3D models, and manufacturing requirements to ensure information accuracy and consistency.\nSupport Engineering Change Order (ECO) implementation by updating drawings, OMS, assembly instructions, and related documentation while maintaining revision control and change traceability.\nVerify consistency among CAD models, drawings, BOMs, OMS, and released manufacturing documentation before production release. \nAct as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design intent is correctly translated into executable production processes.\nAdhere to organizational requirements related to Quality Management Systems, Health & Safety, Environmental Compliance, 5S, Code of Conduct, and General Duty of Care.\nMaintain confidentiality of all products, manufacturing processes, technology, materials, and business-related information.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nLocation: Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat Penang.\nPrimarily works in an fast-paced engineering environment. \nWorks in a high urgency environment under very limited supervision. \nAlso works in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment and must also be able to navigate through the production and engineering environment, following the processes and procedures dictated in manufacturing and engineering. \nThey must have the ability to effectively interface with mechanical designers, manufacturing engineers, and production assemblers.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nProficient in SolidWorks, SolidWorks Composer, Adobe Illustrator, or equivalent CAD and graphical documentation tools.\nExperience in technical drafting, manufacturing documentation, assembly instruction development, or production support.\nStrong ability to interpret engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, BOMs, assembly structures, and manufacturing specifications.\nUnderstanding of manufacturing assembly processes, production workflows, and documentation control practices.\nStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple assignments with minimal supervision.\nEXPERIENCE:\nMinimum of five years related experience.\nExperience supporting NPI, pilot builds, or manufacturing production environments.\nKnowledge of DFM, DFA, PFMEA, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.\nFamiliarity with ECO, PLM, ERP, or engineering document management systems.\nBasic “Drafting to ANSI Standards” class.\nEDUCATION:\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Design, or related technical discipline.\nBENEFITS :\nAs part of our total rewards philosophy, we believe in offering and maintaining competitive compensation and benefits programs for our employees to attract and retain a talented, highly engaged workforce.\nOur compensation programs are focused on equitable, fair pay practices including market-based base pay, an annual pay-for-performance incentive plan, and etc.\nIn addition to our competitive compensation practices, we offer a strong benefits package in each of the countries in which we operate.
