You will design, develop, and validate power conversion systems for medical and healthcare applications, balancing performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost. Working closely with Mechanical, Firmware, Manufacturing, Quality, and Systems Engineers, you will support product development from concept through production release using simulation, prototyping, testing, and design verification methodologies.\nResponsibilities:\nWorks as part of a cross-functional team, balancing time and scope to meet product requirements and project schedules, collaborating with Mechanical, Firmware, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management teams.\nOwns electrical design activities from concept through production release, including architecture development, schematic capture, simulation, testing, documentation, and design verification.\nDesign and develop switch mode power supplies (SMPS), power conversion circuits, and related control circuitry for medical and healthcare applications.\nPerform circuit simulation, worst-case analysis, tolerance analysis, and design optimization to ensure robust product performance.\nDevelop prototypes, perform bring-up activities, conduct debugging, and verify compliance to product specifications.\nPlan and execute Design Verification Testing (DVT) and support design validation activities.\nGenerate and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) with consideration for cost, quality, reliability, supply chain resilience, and component lifecycle management.\nConduct root cause investigations and failure analysis to resolve design, manufacturing, and field issues.\nParticipate in risk management activities including DFMEA, design reviews, and engineering change management processes.\nCreate and maintain engineering documentation, test reports, specifications, and controlled design records.\nSupport manufacturing transfer, product qualification, regulatory compliance, and sustaining engineering activities.\nQualficiations\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.\nMinimum 3 years of experience developing power electronics, switch mode power supplies, or related electronic products.\nExperience designing analog and mixed-signal circuits.\nExperience using circuit simulation tools to support design decisions and correlate simulation results to physical testing.\nKnowledge of power electronics, circuit analysis, component derating, and failure analysis methodologies.\nExperience performing laboratory testing, troubleshooting, and product verification.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.\nPreferred\nExperience developing medical devices or products within regulated industries.\nExperience participating in medical device development processes including design controls, risk analysis, verification, validation, and engineering change management.\nExperience working within ISO 13485, FDA Quality System Regulation (21 CFR Part 820), or comparable quality systems.\nExperience conducting DFMEA and supporting product risk management activities.\nKnowledge of EMC/EMI design practices and regulatory compliance testing.\nExperience with reliability engineering, component qualification, and safety compliance requirements.\nFamiliarity with IEC 60601 standards for medical electrical equipment.\nExperience with digital power control, microcontrollers, or embedded systems integration.\nAs part of our total rewards philosophy, we believe in offering and maintaining competitive compensation and benefits programs for our employees in order to attract and retain a talented, highly engaged workforce.
