A bridge between supplier, design, andfactory.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nDesigns, modifies, and evaluates electronic apparatus components or circuitry for use in electronic equipment and devices.\nCreates, modifies, sustains, and maintains software for testing. Verify and improve test coverage.\nDesign and modify the test fixture to meet and improve the product quality and decrease the operation cost by move detect (CA/PA) failure as early as we can. \nDesigns power supply circuits based on previously used topologies to meet specific parameters. Includes loop stability, magnetic design, and worse case component analysis.\nUnderstands the new product release and engineering change procedures to support the product during and after its transition into manufacturing.\nParticipate in yield and continuous improvement action.\nProduct test field failure analysis support. Perform simulation and evaluation, duplicate failures detected in the field and provide Root Cause Analysis and RCCA.\nCustomer field failure analysis support. Attend Customer’s meeting and present on the failure analysis finding / root cause and provide effective RCCA& related preventative action. \nResponsible, coordinate and deliver daily Failure Analysis WIP turns around for daily Production fulfillment inclusive of Top-Level Assembly (TLA) and In Source Sub Assembly.\nResponsible for group of technicians, coordination of Failure Analysis output based on Customer’s demand. Provide training to FA technician to be competent to the allocated Product Platform.\nEstablish / Maintain Failure Analysis Data pool, generate/enhance Failure Analysis Guideline to improve productivity and accuracy. Drive for Yield improvement with various departments such as Production/Hybrid/Test/Process/SQE/Quality. Quality improvement for workmanship, test coverage enhancement, test accuracy, Supplier Quality Improvement.\nCommunication with Product Development / Engineering team for any unknown / Hardcore failure for resolution within the shortest time.\nCore player in NPI / New derivative Part Number introduction. Failure Analysis for unknown technical issue, communicate with Product Development/Engineering team for resolution within the shortest time.\nProvide disposition of the defective parts in MRB meeting. Engineering decision for Rework, RTV, Scrap with engineering data support.\nCustodian for FA Non-Netting Inventory. Responsible for Inventory Accuracy and requires performing the periodical inventory count upon request from Inventory Team.\nAdhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.\nOther duties as assigned.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nLocation: Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat.\nWorks in a fast-paced engineering/manufacturing lab environment. \nAlso works in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment (telephone, PC, copier, fax machine, etc.).\nWorks under limited supervision.\nCompletes many repetitive tasks that include the use of electronic assembly equipment.\nTroubleshoots high voltage power supplies.\nOperates sampling and real time oscilloscopes, pulse generators, meters, power supplies, and special test fixtures.\nOvertime may be necessary in times of increased demand. \nTravel to international locations may be required.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nProficient knowledge and troubleshooting skills in electronic circuits, components, PCBs, and manufacturing processes.\nStrong knowledge in the physical structure, properties, and behavior of engineering materials to identify primary modes of failure for electrical components, PCBs, and assemblies.\nRequires effective verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey factual learnings.\nAbility to handle moderately complex engineering assignments.\nAbility to exercise good judgment to resolve problems.\nAbility to work independently.\nAbility to manage many projects at one time.\nAbility to be creative.\nEngineering skills include FMEA/DOE and Reliability Engineering.\nPrepare CA/PA report to internal or external customer.\nTooling is needed for troubleshooting/debug/test theory/Engineering prototype unit.\nEXPERIENCE:\nAbove 10 years of working experience, 5 years of experience working in manufacturing technical engineering.\nAbility to lead and coach failure analysis engineers level I & II. \nAbility to communicate with manufacturing members.\nAbility to manage many projects at one time.\nAbility to understand manufacturing operating process.\nAbility to solve complex issues with speed and quality, expert knowledge of the electronic circuit. \nAct as a team leader to support complex and high-tech products, make the schedule and timeline to manage project.\nLead - Root cause Analysis for PCBA Yield Improvement\nElectrical safety training (additional company safety courses may be required).
