Improves AE’s ability to meet customer delivery requirements by understanding BU capacity, identifying constraints, and actively reducing lead times (availability) by product. Minimizes AE’s investment in raw and finished material inventory where appropriate.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nPlans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors final approval of products through the complete PDP Process.\nCoordinates production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules. \nProvides input to management; schedules and/or interfaces with, material program manager (MPM), marketing, sales, production and engineering managers.\nWorks to resolve (in case of design changes) labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.\nDevelops and implements the company's production control functions including any of the following activities: master scheduling, production planning/coordination, shop scheduling and dispatching, material requirements, planning systems, work-in-process tracking, material and labor variance controls, and manufacturing performance reporting. \nApproves quantities, schedules and parts lists provided to the material control organization to ensure timely and complete ordering, as well as receipt and issuance of production material requirements.\nCoordinates and implements Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in NPI.\nAnalyzes long lead time parts and works with MPM to develop custom supply solutions (e.g. point-of-use material, line-side stocking, kanban, min-max supply, etc.) \nCoordinate with engineering to create and maintain BOM’s in SAP.\nCoordinate with the program manager to create and maintain the project schedule.\nCoordinate the release of parts, modules, and/or units to appropriate department in production.\nCoordinate material selection process and purchase. \nAdhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.\nMaintain confidentiality of all information related to the production processes and components, business and other technology including materials.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nAbility to present ideas in a clear and persuasive manner, both orally and in writing.\nCapability to respond quickly, decisively, assertively, and professionally to changing requirements in demand, product description, and material demand.\nExcellent judgment and initiative, including the ability to effectively balance multiple priorities.\nEXPERIENCE:\nBasic understanding of planning and the processes associated with manufacturing.\nExperience in a high mix/low volume, pull-based manufacturing environment.\nProven track record of success and growth in positions of increasing responsibility.\nPrevious experience with SAP desired or preferred.\nExperience working in a team and group setting with upper level managers.\nEDUCATION:\nBachelor of Science degree in Operations Management, Finance, Materials Management, Computer Information Sciences, or equivalent education and/or experience. \nPrefer American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) or CPM certification.\nBENEFITS:\nAs part of our total rewards philosophy, we believe in offering and maintaining competitive compensation and benefits programs for our employees to attract and retain a talented, highly engaged workforce.\nOur compensation programs are focused on equitable, fair pay practices including market-based base pay, an annual pay-for-performance incentive plan, and etc.\nIn addition to our competitive compensation practices, we offer a strong benefits package in each of the countries in which we operate.
