At our core, we are Advanced Energy - powering the future, together.\nPOSITION SUMMARY:\nThe Internal Auditor will support the Internal Audit team in performing financial, operational, and compliance audits. This role is ideal for individuals starting their career in audit and looking to gain experience in risk assessment, internal controls, and process improvement within a multinational organization.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nAssist in executing internal audit engagements, including SOX compliance and operational audits, under the guidance of senior auditors/managers.\nPerform testing of internal controls and document audit work in accordance with professional standards.\nHelp identify control gaps and propose practical recommendations to improve efficiency and compliance.\nSupport in preparing audit reports and communicating findings to management.\nParticipate in follow-up reviews to ensure corrective actions have been implemented.\nConduct basic research and data analysis to support audit procedures.\nMaintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships across the organization.\nPerform other duties as required, consistent with the goals, objectives, and responsibilities of the Internal Audit Department and with the approval of the Audit Committee.\nEnsure overall quality, consistency, risk management and adherence to department and professional standards, particularly the standards outlined by the Institute of Internal Auditors, for operational, compliance and information technology audit work.\nThis position may require domestic and international travel, thus a willingness and ability to travel is necessary.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nLocation: Denver, Colorado.\nEnvironment: Standard office environment. Occasional travel to company branch offices, sales and service locations, company or third-party manufacturing or warehousing locations.\nOccasional work may be required outside standard hours (linked to operational needs of working within an international organization).\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nWorks collaboratively as part of a team, though individual tasks may be assigned. Expected to be a proactive self-starter, with a continuous improvement and problem-solving mindset.\nAbility to successfully interact with team, company and third-party personnel at all levels, at both domestic and international locations.\nAbility to work on various projects under time and cost constraints.\nAbility to perform research, gather evidence / documentation and conduct interviews in an adversarial environment.\nEXPERIENCE:\n1-2 years of relevant work experience required. Experience may be in one or a combination of disciplines including public accounting, or within an internal audit function in a related industry\nDesire to obtain CIA / CPA or similar professional certification required.\nData analytics experience and capabilities a preference\nGood understanding on the concept of COSO, GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002\nStrong written/verbal communications and project management skills\nExperience working with larger multinational companies would be a significant plus\nSAP and manufacturing company experience a plus\nIntermediate level PC skills with Microsoft office applications\nEDUCATION:\nBS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance\nCOMPENSATION:\nAs required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
