We are proud of our rich heritage, award-winning technologies, and we value the talents and contributions of all Advanced Energy's employees worldwide.\nJob Summary\nThe Purchasing Manager leads the design and execution of sourcing strategies to ensure reliable continuity of indirect spend supplies across other locations enabling Advanced Energy’s business groups to operate efficiently while supporting internal needs and corporate cost objectives. The role oversees supplier quality, delivery, and cost performance, and is accountable for supplier selection, performance management, and issue or crisis resolution. This position reports to the Director, Purchasing.\nKey Responsibilities\nEstablishes procurement division with Asia Pacific multiple sites for indirect spends covering a wide range of categories (equipment, facility, IT, MRO, professional services and Capex items)\nProactively manage projects and perform purchasing tenders and supplier selection.\nResponsible for cost reduction and supplier performance\nProvides management support for business and strategic procurement activities.\nDevelops cost effective sources of supply that support AE’s growth strategies.\nEvaluates price trends, new products, and manufacturing processes that improve overall commodity team performance. Overall responsibilities for Price negotiations and all pricing decisions\nDevelops and administers supplier contracts for managing costs, schedules, performance factors, service levels, supplier liability limits, and continuity of supply.\nProvides coaching, mentoring, employee development and team building.\nTake action to ensure continuous improvement of the Purchasing team’s productivity and effectiveness through adequate training of personnel.\nDevelop policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.\n With 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain or purchasing, preferably within an electronic or high-tech manufacturing environment.\nProven expertise in developing and executing categories and commodity strategies, including spend analysis and supplier contract management.\nStrong track record in strategic supplier relationship management, performance oversight (quality, delivery, cost), and issue or crisis resolution.\nDemonstrated people management capability, with experience mentoring, developing, and leading teams of buyers while managing multiple initiatives.\nProficient in SAP and/or Ariba, with solid MS Office skills and the ability to respond decisively to dynamic business requirements.\nWilling to be assigned to a full-time, onsite position at Rosario, Cavite site.\nCompensation\nAs part of our total rewards philosophy, we believe in offering and maintaining competitive compensation and benefits programs for our employees in order to attract and retain a talented, highly engaged workforce.
