At our core, we are Advanced Energy - powering the future, together.\nPOSITION SUMMARY:\nAdvanced Energy is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the development and launch of advanced power solutions for hyperscale data center customers.\nThis role is responsible for driving cross-functional hardware development programs from concept through production release, ensuring products are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with customer requirements. The Program Manager serves as the primary interface between customers and internal stakeholders while coordinating engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and operations teams to achieve program objectives.\nThis position requires significant experience leading the development of complex physical hardware products and a strong system-level technical understanding of the products being developed. The successful candidate must be capable of leading teams through technical challenges, facilitating problem resolution, understanding system tradeoffs, assessing risk, and driving decisions that balance customer, engineering, operational, and business requirements.\nThis is a highly visible role requiring both strong program leadership and sufficient technical depth to effectively guide teams through product development and issue resolution.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nProgram Leadership\nLead cross-functional teams through all phases of New Product Introduction (NPI), from concept through production launch.\nDevelop and manage integrated program plans, schedules, resource requirements, budgets, and deliverables.\nDrive execution to meet commitments for schedule, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction.\nEnsure alignment between engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, operations, and commercial teams.\nManage programs in accordance with Advanced Energy's Product Development Process (PDP).\nCustomer Engagement\nServe as the primary point of contact for customer program management and technical stakeholders.\nSupport customer RFQs, program proposals, development plans, and project reviews.\nLead customer status reviews and executive-level communications.\nManage customer expectations and ensure timely communication of program risks, issues, and mitigation plans.\nTechnical Leadership & Problem Solving\nDevelop and maintain sufficient system-level product knowledge to effectively lead program execution and facilitate technical decision-making.\nLead cross-functional teams through complex technical, operational, manufacturing, and customer issues.\nFacilitate technical discussions between engineering disciplines and drive alignment on critical decisions.\nUnderstand product architecture, performance requirements, design tradeoffs, and system interactions.\nEnsure technical risks and their business impacts are identified, communicated, and mitigated throughout the product lifecycle.\nDrive issue resolution by coordinating engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain resources.\nManufacturing & Product Launch\nPartner with Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure production readiness.\nCoordinate material readiness, manufacturing readiness, qualification activities, and launch execution.\nSupport Design for Manufacturability (DFM) objectives and cycle-time improvements.\nEnsure smooth transition from development into volume production.\nMonitor launch metrics and drive corrective actions as necessary.\nRisk Management & Continuous Improvement\nIdentify program risks, constraints, and dependencies and develop mitigation plans.\nLead escalation management and resolution of critical program issues.\nCapture lessons learned and implement process improvements across future development programs.\nMaintain program metrics and provide regular updates to customers, leadership teams, and stakeholders.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nLocation: Eden Prairie, MN\nEnvironment: Onsite, office environment\nUp to 10% domestic and international travel\nQUALIFICATIONS\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\nMinimum 5 years of Program Management experience leading the development and commercialization of complex physical hardware products.\nDemonstrated success leading New Product Introduction (NPI) programs from concept through manufacturing release.\nStrong system-level understanding of electrical, power electronic, electromechanical, telecommunications, server, data center infrastructure, industrial, or similar complex hardware systems.\nAbility to understand product architecture, technical risks, engineering tradeoffs, and system interactions in order to effectively lead product development teams.\nExperience working closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, procurement, and operations organizations.\nProven ability to lead teams through technical and operational problem resolution.\nStrong analytical, communication, organizational, presentation, and leadership skills.\nAbility to influence and drive alignment across cross-functional teams without direct authority.\nPreferred\nExperience with power electronics, power conversion, power distribution, power systems, or related technologies.\nExperience serving hyperscale, cloud computing, AI infrastructure, or data center customers.\nExperience with PCBA design, electronics manufacturing, and supply chain management.\nFamiliarity with Agile product development methodologies.\nExperience working in highly regulated or quality-driven product development environments.\nEXPERIENCE\nCandidates must have demonstrated experience managing the development and launch of physical hardware products including:\nElectrical systems\nPower electronics\nEmbedded systems\nTelecommunications equipment\nServer or data center infrastructure\nIndustrial equipment\nElectromechanical assemblies\nSimilar complex hardware products\nEngineering design reviews\nProduct qualification and validation testing\nManufacturing readiness reviews\nProduction launch execution\nDesign change management\nTechnical issue resolution involving quality, reliability, manufacturability, performance, or customer requirements\nCandidates whose experience is primarily limited to software development, IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, business systems implementation, or non-hardware project management will not be considered for this position.\nCOMPENSATION:\nAs required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
