They interface with Design, Test, and Reliability Engineering to create successful product launches and to solve problems. They sustain products with cost reduction and yield improvements in machines used for soldering procedures, wave solder or selective solder.\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSupport to and implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools (SMED, one piece flow, manufacturing cells,\nSelf-directed teams, kan-ban, 5’s, etc.)\nContinues quality improvements and elimination of non-value added activities.\nActive participation in improvements of manufacturing metrics.\nManufacturing line and/or cells balancing according to TAKT time.\nIdentification and development of project utilizing Six Sigma tools.\nComplete documentation of the manufacturing process.\nKnowledge of products and company systems.\nTo request, generate, validate and/or implement ECR’s and ECN’s.\nSupport to new products introduction and/or prototypes.\nTeam work and support to other departments as required.\nTo select, specify, recommend and/or design of tools and equipment.\nManufacturability issues identification (DFM).\nTo work with relate corporate personnel as necessary.\nTo generate applicable reports and charts.\nTraining to colleagues, technicians, facilitator, operators when required or necessary.\nSupport to generation of PFMEA, Control Plans, etc.\nFailure analysis and/ or evaluation of defects for continuous improvement.\nPlanning and coordination of preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance for manufacturing equipment\nGeneration, analysis and/or update of standard times.\nStrong understanding of electronics soldering manufacturing procedures using wave solder or selective soldering machines.\nHave worked, supported, or technically understand the operation and key parameters in wave solder or selective solder machines.\nExperiencie designing and improving designs in toolings and pallets used in soldering process.\nExperience implementing DOE in soldering machines.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nManufacturing Engineers regularly work in office, lab, and manufacturing facilities. Travel to international vendor, manufacturing, and/or development locations may be required.\nSKILLS:\nMust have strong problem-solving attributes.
