This position will work closely with major departments and with employees at all levels of the organization, including management, supervisors, and workers.\nThe manager will provide subject matter expertise on environmental, health and safety matters and is responsible for developing and implementing environmental, health and safety plans, enforcing policies, and evaluating practices to ensure compliance with established guidelines.\nThe position will be based at our Thailand factory site, although some travel to other AE locations will be required.\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nProvide Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) oversight and support to site managers for the factory construction projects, including hazard review, contractor management, etc.\nInspect construction and installation activities to ensure conformance to established standards and legal requirements.\nBuild the new EHS team for the site and propose a hiring plan.\nDevelop, plan, implement, review, and monitor EHS management system for the Thailand MFG site.\nAct as the point-of-contact with Regional and Global EHS as well as an expert resource for EHS related needs for site personnel and management.\nDevelop strategic and annual goals, objectives and programs towards hazard management, injury prevention, legal compliance, and building a strong EHS culture.\nEnsure compliance with all applicable EHS legislations, company and industry practices, and other requirements.\nHandle all interactions with corporate, external auditors, MoL, MNRE, T-OSH, MoI, MoE, Fire and Rescue Department, and all other applicable agencies and stakeholders.\nLiaise with management team, operations team, customers, authorities, and other stakeholders on all environment and occupational health and safety issues.\nEnsure EHS hazard identification and risk assessment reviews are carried out for all work activities and appropriate risk control actions are taken to mitigate identified risks.\nSupport in the conduct, and monitoring of incident investigations, identifying root cause, recommending corrective actions, and follow up until closure and ensure proper reporting to the relevant authorities are carried out.\nConduct and monitor regular EHS compliance inspections, audits, and incident investigations to improve EHS work environment and culture, and to prevent recurrences of identified non-conformances.\nIdentify, develop, deliver, and/or monitor site EHS related training programs for employees, including emergency response, and other competency or compliance related training needs.\nManage and publish documents, records, and reports to ensure compliance with respect to environmental and occupational health and safety requirements.\nOrganize, and support EHS committees, emergency response programs, outreach activities and promotional programs.\nConsult with various functions within the organization to incorporate sustainability practices and establish conservation and environmental goals.\nResponsible for sustainability reporting by providing relevant write-ups and data.\nAssist in audits to ensure continuity and effectiveness of Management System in accordance with ISO45001, ISO14001, ISO14064, Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conducts, etc.\nManage and responsible for in-house First Aid and Clinic activities, when applicable.\nDevelop and support protocol and SOP for pandemic, business resilience and continuity.\nEnsure activities meet and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies, and general duty of care.\nAssist with any additional duties as and when assigned.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nNew factory setup, work in a standard office environment, attending or facilitating in-person or virtual meetings, and/or conducting training.\nShould be familiar with all work environments at AEI for conducting EHS inspections, and audits.\nMay be required to travel in domestic and AEI sites in other countries for meetings, audits, training, and regulatory compliance.\nSKILLS:\nExcellent change champion, and leadership, standards.\nBe a hands-on person in carrying out audits, inspection, risk assessment and incident investigation, preparation of documents and reports, and liaising and follow-up with internal and external stakeholders.\nExperience in ISO14001, ISO 45001, Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), and similar accredited EHS management systems.\nAbility to apply and integrate EHS and regulatory knowledge to business decisions and in development of implementation plans.\nExcellent MS Office skills.\nAbility to organize and conduct an effective meeting and promotional programs with focus on the objective and results.\nEXPERIENCE:\nEssential:\nMore than 10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing required with a minimum of 5 years in EHS manager’s role preferred.\n5+ years of experience in managing large scale initiatives.\nProven experience in designing and implementing EHS strategy.\nExcellent team player, respect and work well with all levels and across different culture.\nPreferably having MNC working experience with exposure to international EHS laws and best practices as well as reporting requirements.\nHands-on experience in working on EHS programs.\nExperience dealing with Thai government authorities and regulatory inspections.\nExperience establishing and monitoring EHS KPIs and reporting to site/regional leadership.\nExperience supporting ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.\nEDUCATION:\nEssential:\nBachelor's Degree or higher in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Physical Science, or any related field. \nPossess required Professional Certificate in Environmental, Occupational Safety & Health, and Fire Safety.\nProficient in computer literacy skills including Microsoft Office
