We are proud of our rich heritage, award-winning technologies, and we value the talents and contributions of all Advanced Energy's employees worldwide.\nResponsibilities:\nWorks as part of a team, balancing time and scope to meet specification and scheduling demands.\nPerforms the design, analysis, and documentation of sheet metal enclosures, bus bars, heat sinks, and other typical electronics cooling mechanisms.\nCreates mechanical models/drawings to Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards, and perform complex analyses of dimensional tolerance.\nAbility to specify experiments and procedures to prove, test, and monitor design concepts.\nDesign for manufacturing (DFM) and assembly (DFA); ability to minimize complexity, part count, incorporate Poke Yoke and achieve high levels of product manufacturability, testability and serviceability.\nDesign product and sub components on supply chain typical manufacturing methods for sheet metal, machined parts, casting, molding, extruding, stamping, and 3D printing.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering\nMinimum 2 years of related design experience in the development of electronic systems\nMust show advanced computer skills with CAD software, Creo Parametric or similar.\nKnowledge with Sheet Metal design is desired.\nHaving experience with Thermal Simulation and Structural Simulation tools is preferred\nPossesses a solid understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM) and assembly (DFA); ability to minimize complexity, part count, incorporate Poke Yoke and achieve high levels of product manufacturability, testability and serviceability.\nMust have a working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and Tolerance Stack-up Analysis.\nAbility to specify experiments and procedures to prove, test, and monitor design concepts.\nAbility to evaluate simulated and empirical data, understand error and uncertainty in both methods, correlate the data sets, and ultimately provide multiple solution paths for challenging problems.\nAbility to self-manage project work from start to finish including conformance to scheduling and cost.\nKnowledge or experience with Liquid Cooling systems an advantage.\nAs part of our total rewards philosophy, we believe in offering and maintaining competitive compensation and benefits programs for our employees in order to attract and retain a talented, highly engaged workforce.
