At our core, we are Advanced Energy - powering the future, together.\nPOSITION SUMMARY:\nThe Finance Project Manager is responsible for managing finance-led projects and cross-functional initiatives that support Advanced Energy’s strategic priorities, operational improvements, and business transformation goals. This role drives successful project execution, stakeholder alignment, risk and issue management, and clear communication across Finance, Accounting, IT, and business partners. The position supports Finance PMO governance, portfolio visibility, and continuous improvement while ensuring projects are delivered with strong planning discipline, accountability, and measurable outcomes.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nSupports Finance leaders, project sponsors, functional SMEs, and cross-functional partners in day-to-day project execution activities.\nDevelops and maintains project plans, milestones, dependencies, action items, and decision logs.\nCoordinates project intake, prioritization, governance routines, and portfolio reporting in alignment with Finance PMO standards.\nPrepares project status updates, leadership summaries, dashboards, and meeting materials, including schedule, scope, risk, issue, and dependency updates.\nTracks and follows up with assigned team members on open actions, risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions.\nMaintains project documentation and shared repositories, ensuring appropriate version control, organization, and access governance.\nSupports change management activities, including stakeholder communications, training coordination, readiness tracking, and adoption follow-up.\nPartners with Finance SMEs to document business requirements, current- and future-state processes, key decisions, and project handoffs.\nCoordinates meetings across functions and time zones; captures and distributes notes, decisions, and action items.\nActs as a communication bridge between Finance, Accounting, IT, business stakeholders, and external partners as needed.\nIdentifies opportunities to improve Finance PMO processes, templates, reporting, and project delivery practices.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nAE Headquarters - Downtown Denver, Colorado.\nStandard business hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility needed to support global teams and cross-functional meetings.\nAdvanced Energy is a Return-to-Office corporation.\nQUALIFICATIONS :\nExceptional organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills \nStrong follow-up skills \nAbility to establish and maintain strong relationships across all levels of an organization \nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level communication \nAbility to gather and analyze data to identify improvements and develop solutions \nAbility to manage risk and apply contingency planning \nAbility to influence without authority \nExecution discipline and operational rigor \nStrong stakeholder management skills \nTeam leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills \nMotivation to continue developing project management skills and emerging technologies (e.g., AI)\nEXPERIENCE:\n3 - 5 years managing projects, programs, or cross-functional initiatives that deliver business process, operational, or system-enabled change\nExperience supporting Finance, Accounting, Operations, or business transformation initiatives\nExperience developing project plans, tracking milestones, managing action items, and coordinating dependencies\nExperience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization\nExperience using project management and collaboration tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, Jira or similar platforms\nExperience supporting vendor coordination or third-party partner activities (preferred)\nExperience in manufacturing, industrial, or global business environments (preferred)\nExperience supporting process improvement, governance, reporting, or project delivery efficiency initiatives\nExperience maintaining project documentation and supporting compliance with organizational standards\nEDUCATION:\nBA/BS degree in Project Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification, preferred\nAgile, Scrum, or related project management certification, preferred\nCOMPENSATION:\nAs required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
