Advanced Energy has devoted four decades to perfecting power for its global customers and is headquartered in Denver, Colorado.\nOur site in Little Island, Cork, Ireland is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join our team!\nPosition Summary:\nThe Senior Test Engineer is responsible for the development, execution, and continuous improvement of product verification and validation activities across the full product lifecycle. This role designs and implements both hardware and software-based test solutions, including automated test systems, test fixtures, and supporting infrastructure.\nWorking closely with design, firmware, manufacturing, and quality teams, the Senior Test Engineer ensures products meet functional, performance, reliability, safety, and regulatory requirements. The role provides technical leadership in test strategy, test methodology, test execution, failure investigation, and test infrastructure development..\nEssential Responsibilities:\nDesign and implement test hardware including fixtures, interface circuitry, and instrumentation setups to support new and legacy product testing.\nDevelop, maintain, and improve automated test systems, software tools, and test frameworks.\nCollaborate with the wider R&D team to define test plans, test specifications, and acceptance criteria based on product requirements, technical specifications, applicable standards, and customer needs.\nDrive continuous improvement in test methodologies, automation coverage, test efficiency, and data analysis.\nInvestigate product failures and test anomalies, performing root cause analysis to isolate hardware, software, manufacturing, or process-related issues.\nPartner with design, firmware, manufacturing, quality, and field engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve product performance and reliability.\nSelect, configure, and operate laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, electronic loads, power analyzers, data acquisition systems, and logic analyzers.\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and technicians involved in product testing and validation activities\nWork Environment:\nStandard office environment utilizing standard office equipment, a noisy fast-paced lab, and/or clean room 95% of the time. \nMust be able to travel 5% of the time.
