He or she receives instructions on daily work and new assignments from Supervisor or Manager of service operations. Duties and tasks are standardized but what is performed will vary day to day\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nWorks from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and trouble-shooting functions.\nPerforms troubleshootings, mechanical repair and assembly operations on RMA units.\nFully testing units after repair to determine that it meets AE specifications.\nDetermines and implements any additional non-break services that may be required during the repair process.\nAccurately and completely documents repair activities and test results.\nParticipates in creation of repair quotes.\nProvides failure analysis data to the Quality department.\nPerform Calibration and preventive maintenance of test fixtures and test stations on the repair lines\nPerform corrective maintenance of all test fixtures and test stations.\nPerforms the setup, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.\nWorks on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where the ability to recognize nonconformities is required.\nConsiders the impact of quality on customers when making decisions.\nCommunicates openly and effectively with all colleagues in a professional manner.\nUnderstands and follows all safety requirements.\nUnderstands and follows all ISO practices and procedures.\nMay act as a technical interface with other departments.\nModels professional and positive work ethics.\nWorks effectively in a team environment.\nOther duties as assigned.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nWorks in a service center or manufacturing environment which may be noisy and fast-paced. \nMany tasks are repetitive in motion and include the use of electronic assembly equipment. \nOvertime may be required in times of increased RMA.\nLight travel may be required from time to time, domestic or international, to assist in training or with customer issues.\nSKILLS:\nMust have strong electro-mechanical problem-solving attributes. \nAble to operate a variety of electrical test instrumentation\nSoldering skills required\nProven ability and experience maintaining flexibility and being able to adapt in a team environment\nKnowledge and understanding of ESD practices\nREQUIREMENTS:\nWorks on RMA repair & assy under supervision.\nUnderstand and use test programs for products. \nUnderstand and proceed the periodic PM evaluation for test equipment.\nCross-trained on multiple product platforms.\nUnderstand and use test programs for products. \nWorks under minimal supervision for repair of RMA’s.\nStrong understanding and compliance with Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts\nAbility to support FA process by performing deep dive testing.\nProficient in all pertinent SAP applications.\nEXPERIENCE:\nEssential:\nBasic knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred\nDesirable:\nTypically has 5 -
