This role is accountable for establishing organizational direction, building engineering capability, and ensuring the successful execution of product and technology roadmaps that support business objectives.\nThe Sr. Manager leads a team of engineering managers, technical leaders, and individual contributors while fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, accountability, and technical excellence. Working across engineering disciplines and global sites, this leader drives cross-functional alignment, develops organizational talent, and balances technical, operational, and commercial priorities to deliver business results.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nOrganizational & Strategic Leadership\nDevelop and execute engineering strategies that support business objectives, product roadmaps, and long-term technology initiatives.\nProvide leadership across multiple engineering teams and disciplines, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and customer needs.\nInfluence product, technology, and ENVIRONMENT:\nLocation: Wilmington, MA on-site/in office\nEnvironment: Standard office environment with on-site lab\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nDemonstrated success leading engineering organizations in a product development environment.\nProven ability to lead managers, senior engineers, and cross-functional teams in a global organization.\nStrong technical and business acumen with the ability to balance customer, operational, financial, and engineering priorities.\nExperience establishing engineering strategy, organizational direction, and execution plans.\nExcellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.\nProven ability to influence decision making across organizational boundaries and leadership levels.\nExperience leading organizational change and building high-performing teams.\nEXPERIENCE:\n10+ years of progressive engineering experience in electronics, power conversion, electrical engineering, or a related technical field. \n5+ years of engineering leadership experience, including direct people management responsibilities. \nDemonstrated success leading managers and/or multiple engineering teams. \nExperience leading complex product development portfolios in a global organization. \nExperience collaborating with manufacturing, operations, supply chain, quality, and commercial functions preferred.\nEDUCATION:\nBachelor's degree in an engineering discipline required.\nAdvanced degree (M.S., M.Eng., Engineering Management, or MBA) preferred.\nOngoing professional development in engineering leadership, organizational leadership, or business management is highly valued.\nCOMPENSATION:\nAs required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
