{"id":2002133,"url":"https://alion.io/job/advanced-engineering-consultations-mep-bim-engineer","title":"MEP BIM Engineer","company":{"id":3898447,"name":"Advanced Engineering Consultations","domain":"advec.me","url":"https://alion.io/company/advanced-engineering-consultations","size_band":null,"is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":null,"truth_index":null},"role":"Industrial Engineering","role_family":"Industrial Engineering","seniority":"senior","employment_type":"full_time","work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Cairo, Egypt"],"countries":["EG"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":52000,"max_usd":116000,"period":"year","method":"global_role_cell_scaled_by_country","sample_n":6537},"experience_years_min":5,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"AutoCAD","optional":false}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-07T11:39:00Z","employer_posted_date":null,"last_verified_at":"2026-10-07T11:39:00Z","board_verified":false,"closed_at":null,"days_open":4,"trust":{"level":"not_scored","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":4},"description":"Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage detailed MEP BIM models for HVAC, Plumbing, and/or Fire Fighting systems.\n\nPrepare and review BIM models, shop drawings, layouts, coordinated MEP drawings, and technical documentation.\n\nPerform multidisciplinary coordination between MEP systems, Architectural, Structural, and Electrical disciplines.\n\nIdentify, review, and resolve clashes and coordination issues using BIM coordination tools.\n\nParticipate in BIM coordination meetings and provide technical solutions to modeling and coordination issues.\n\nReview design changes and update BIM models accordingly.\n\nSupport the engineering team during design development, construction, and project delivery stages.\n\nCoordinate with MEP Engineers, Designers, Architects, Site/Construction teams, and other project stakeholders.\n\nCoordinate with site teams to resolve installation, constructability, and coordination issues.\n\nMaintain BIM model quality, accuracy, consistency, and data integrity throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nEnsure compliance with project BIM standards, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), naming conventions, LOD requirements, model organization, and documentation standards.\n\nCreate and manage Revit families, templates, and BIM content as required.\n\nPrepare and update IFC, shop drawing, and as-built models/deliverables where applicable.\n\nExtract quantities, schedules, and model-based information from BIM models when required.\n\nIncorporate site changes and as-built information into BIM models.\n\nEnsure BIM models comply with project specifications, design requirements, applicable standards, and client requirements.\n\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural Engineering, or related field.\n\n5–7 years of experience in MEP BIM engineering/modeling.\n\nStrong hands-on experience in HVAC, Plumbing, and/or Fire Fighting.\n\nStrong knowledge of Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD.\n\nExperience in MEP coordination, clash detection, and multidisciplinary coordination.\n\nExperience with BIM Execution Plans (BEP), LOD requirements, BIM standards, and project specifications.\n\nExperience creating Revit families and producing shop drawings, IFC, and as-built deliverables.\n\nAbility to extract quantities and schedules from BIM models.\n\nExperience coordinating with site/construction teams and resolving constructability issues.\n\nExperience working on multidisciplinary engineering/construction projects;
