With a focus on quality, precision, and customer satisfaction, we support a wide range of industries from our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities across Coeur d'Alene (Idaho), Taiwan, and Shenzhen, China.\nRole Summary\nThe Project Manager leads customer programs from new product introduction (NPI) through stable production, serving as the primary point of contact between our customers and our engineering, manufacturing, quality and supply chain teams. This role suits a manufacturing project manager with 3-5 years of experience who brings enough engineering grounding to understand drawings, BOMs and build issues, and who can keep complex HMI programs on schedule, on budget and aligned with customer expectations.\nKey Responsibilities\nNew Product Introduction\nLead NPI programs from customer award through prototype, first article, pilot build and release to full production.\nBuild and maintain integrated project schedules covering design reviews, tooling, material lead times, builds and qualification milestones.\nRun phase-gate and design-for-manufacturability (DFM) reviews with engineering and manufacturing to catch cost, quality and yield risks early.\nCoordinate first article inspection (FAI), PPAP or equivalent customer approval packages with Quality.\nManage engineering change orders (ECOs) and revision control so BOMs, drawings and routings stay accurate in the ERP system.\nProgram and Project Management\nOwn scope, schedule, budget and risk for an assigned portfolio of customer programs.\nTrack project financials, including quotes versus actuals, NRE and tooling costs, and margin impact.\nLead regular cross-functional project meetings and drive clear action items, owners and due dates.\nIdentify risks and issues early, develop mitigation plans and escalate when needed.\nReport program status to internal leadership and customers through concise dashboards and reviews.\nCustomer Support\nServe as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, from quote handoff through sustaining production.\nTranslate customer requirements, specifications and changes into clear internal direction.\nManage customer communication on delivery commitments, schedule changes and technical questions.\nCoordinate responses to quality issues, RMAs and corrective actions (8D / CAPA) with Quality and Engineering.\nBuild long-term relationships that support repeat business and new program opportunities.\nCross-Functional Coordination\nPartner with Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, Planning and Sales to keep programs aligned.\nWork with Supply Chain to manage long-lead and critical components and mitigate shortages.\nSupport continuous improvement efforts that reduce cost, shorten lead times and improve yield.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing or Industrial), Engineering Technology, or a related technical field; equivalent experience considered.\n3-5 years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally electronics, electromechanical or contract manufacturing.\nHands-on engineering exposure - for example, time in a manufacturing, process, product or test engineering role, or direct technical work on builds.\nDemonstrated experience leading new product introduction from prototype through production release.\nCustomer-facing experience managing requirements, schedules and issue resolution for OEM customers.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and bills of materials.\nWorking knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet or similar).\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting status to customers and leadership.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPMP, CAPM or similar project management certification.\nExperience with HMI products such as membrane switches, keypads, touchscreens, displays or electromechanical assemblies.\nBackground in regulated or high-reliability markets such as aerospace, defense, medical or industrial.\nFamiliarity with quality frameworks and standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100 or ISO 13485, and tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA and FAI.\nExperience with Infor SyteLine (CloudSuite Industrial) or a comparable ERP system.\nLean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training.\nExperience coordinating programs across multiple sites or international manufacturing locations.\nSkills and Competencies\nOrganized and detail-oriented, able to manage several programs at different lifecycle stages at once.\nTechnically credible with engineers and production staff, and clear with non-technical stakeholders.\nProactive problem solver who surfaces risks early and drives issues to closure.\nCustomer-focused, balancing customer commitments with internal capacity and cost.\nComfortable making decisions with incomplete information in a fast-moving production\nWork Environment\nOffice and manufacturing floor setting; regular time on the production floor to support builds and resolve issues.\nOccasional travel to customer sites or other 1HMX facilities.\nMust follow all safety, ESD and quality procedures on the manufacturing floor.\nEqual Opportunity\n1HMX /AIS is an equal opportunity employer.
