The University of Maine at Augusta invites applications for Part-Time Faculty at our Aircraft Maintenance Technician School (AMTS). The successful candidate will have experience with the subject matter in a wide range of aviation topics, including fixed-wing and rotorcraft.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching and working with students one-on-one. The position will ideally be based at UMA's Brunswick Aviation Campus, Hangar 6, but we will also consider remote work candidates.

Qualifications

Required:

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certification
  • Aircraft Maintenance Experience
  • Teaching Experience

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • FAA Aircraft Inspection Authorization Certificate
  • Higher Education experience with curriculum writing and teaching

Salary: The salary range is per credit hour and commensurate with qualifications and experience:

0-5 6-12 3-19 20+

Lecturer I* $1211 $1233 $1250 $1283

Lecturer II** $1443 $1465 $1486 $1521

Lecturer III*** $1580 $1601 $1623 $1657

* 0-10 semesters of previous college teaching

** 11-19 semesters of previous college teaching

*** 20 + semesters of previous college teaching
