As an Audio Engineer (A1/A2), you’ll play a hands-on role in making sure every production sounds its best while working alongside top industry talent. This is a flex position with variable hours and will work as needed according to business needs. Occasional early, late, or event-based support may be required.\nWhat You’ll Do\nCollaborate with the director, sound designer, producer, or client to understand what every production needs when it comes to sound.\n\nMix audio for both streaming and live audiences so everything sounds top-notch.\n\nPrepare, organize, and manage handheld microphones as needed.\n\nFollow the run-of-show document to make sure the show runs smoothly.\n\nWork closely with other crew members to help execute audio elements before and during shows.\n\nRun rehearsals with performers and the artistic production team, setting up equipment and updating cue sheets as needed.\n\nTake direction from the stage manager or show caller to hit every cue just right.\n\nPerform sound checks before every performance to guarantee the audio is dialed in.\n\nTest all playback elements to make sure they work properly for the show.\n\nSelect and deploy the right technical sound equipment to fit the production’s needs.\n\nNote: This job description is not designed to list every possible duty or responsibility.
