You’ll bring a foundation in coding, Power Platform or both, with the curiosity and ambition to develop across low-code and pro-code AI solutions.\nAs your skills grow, you’ll take on increasingly complex solutions involving generative AI, APIs, MCP tools, Copilot extensions and Azure-hosted applications, while learning directly from experienced architects and AI specialists.\nYou’ll build within established architecture and standards, contribute to testing and use-case discovery, and support Advania’s wider AI community by sharing approved templates and patterns, creating a strong career path to grow your technical expertise within AI.\nSalary & Benefits\nThe budgeted salary for this role is between 75,000 - 91,000 ZAR monthly, depending on experience.\nClick here for the list of benefits.\nHybrid working\nWe recognise the benefits that remote and flexible working brings.\nWe operate a hybrid working policy that allows our employees to balance time in the office and time from home. If you have any questions after applying, please reach out to our recruitment team.\nResponsibilities\nBuild and configure AI agents in Copilot Studio and Microsoft Foundry - instructions, skills, tools and knowledge sources - following the patterns and designs set by the team's architects\n\nFollow and help enhance governance guardrails already in place for Copilot Studio and Power Platform\n\nDevelop web apps and dashboards using agentic dev tools such as GitHub Copilot\n\nSupport discovery and testing of use cases - helping validate that a built agent or automation meets the need it was designed for\n\nHelp keep built solutions supportable - basic monitoring checks, simple documentation, and raising issues promptly to senior team members\n\nTake part in code and design reviews as both reviewer-in-training and reviewee, using feedback to improve your engineering practice\n\nKeep learning - build your knowledge of Copilot Studio, Power Platform, and foundational AI concepts (including RAG and Microsoft Foundry) as the team's use of these grows\n\nWhat Success Looks Like\nConsistently deliver agreed pieces of build work on time and to the quality standard set by the team\n\nThe agents and automations you build are genuinely used and trusted by the business teams they were built for\n\nFollow the governance guardrails already in place, flagging anything unclear or at risk rather than working around it\n\nCoding and Copilot Studio skills are visibly developing over time, supported by regular feedback from senior team members\n\nYou are a reliable, proactive member of the team who senior colleagues are happy to hand build work to\n\nQualifications & Experience\nHands-on experience building agents in Copilot Studio - topics, actions, connections and basic knowledge sources\n\nA background in the wider Power Platform - Power Apps, Power Automate and/or Dataverse\n\nSome exposure to software development - comfortable reading and writing simple code (e.g. Python, C# or JavaScript/TypeScript) at least, and keen to build on this with the support of agentic dev tools such as GitHub Copilot\n\nA basic understanding of Copilot Studio and Power Platform governance fundamentals - environments, connections, DLP and data handling\n\nA genuine enthusiasm for AI and automation, and a willingness to learn new tools and techniques quickly\n\nDesirable\nAwareness of AI techniques such as RAG (retrieval-augmented generation)\n\nAny exposure to Microsoft Foundry or Azure AI services\n\nExperience with source control (e.g. Git/GitHub or Azure DevOps)\nExperience in a technology services provider, MSP or consultancy environment\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Purview or information protection concepts as they apply to AI\n\nCertifications\nCertification is not a substitute for demonstrable hands-on capability, but we would welcome a candidate who holds, or is working towards, entry-level credentials spanning Power Platform and Microsoft AI.
