This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, resolving account queries, and helping improve cash flow through effective collections and stakeholder engagement. If you have any questions after applying, please reach out to our recruitment team.\nResponsibilities\nManaging a portfolio of customer accounts and ensuring invoices are paid in line with agreed terms.\n\nContacting customers by phone and email to follow up on overdue balances and secure payment commitments.\n\nReviewing aged debt reports and prioritising collection activity based on risk and value.\n\nInvestigating and resolving payment delays, invoice disputes, allocation issues, and account queries.\n\nReconciling customer accounts and maintaining accurate payment and collection records.\n\nEscalating complex, high-risk, or long-outstanding accounts where required.\n\nWorking closely with internal finance teams, operations, sales, and external customers to resolve issues quickly.\n\nSupporting month-end collection targets, debtor reviews, and reporting requirements.\n\nMaintaining accurate notes, follow-up actions, and promised payment dates in the finance or ERP.\n\nQualifications & Experience\nMinimum of 2 years’ experience in cash collection, credit control or debt collection.\n\nExperience working with UK clients or UK customer accounts would be advantageous.\n\nExposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be advantageous.\n\nConfidence engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.\n\nComfortable handling complex accounts, including disputed balances, overdue debt, reconciliations, and multiple stakeholder queries.\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow up firmly but professionally.\n\nGood attention to detail, strong organisation skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.\n\nA self-motivated team player who can work independently and contribute positively to a wider finance function.\n\nAbout Us:\nWe are the tech company with people at heart.\nAt Advania, we believe in empowering people to create sustainable value through the clever use of technology.
