Summary: The Chemical Loading Operator performs all aspects of safely transferring bulk liquid chemical products to and from trucks, rail, and barges. \nSummary of the Main Responsibilities:\nResponsible for the safe and proper handling of hazardous and non-hazardous materials in compliance with plant requirements\nProvide efficient and traceable movement of in-bound and out-bound company products\nLoad and unload hazardous liquid chemical trucks, rail cars, and barges\nPerform standard work and adhere to standard operating procedures to ensure unit safety, quality, and production goals are met\nMaintain proper housekeeping and clean work environment\nPerform minor running maintenance\nParticipate as member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT), including fire brigade, HAZWOPER technician, and confined space rescue \nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent is required\nExperience in manufacturing or chemical plant operations is preferred\nAbility to obtain a TWIC card is required\nAdditional Qualifications:\nChemical operations background/experience is preferred\nStrong safety awareness mindset\nDemonstrated ability to adhere to policies and procedures\nAttention to detail\nMechanical aptitude\nStrong problem-solving skills\nDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot and take corrective action within an industrial setting\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment\nStrong work ethic, initiative, and ability to learn new technical skills\nWork effectively in a team environment\nWork a 12-hour rotating shift schedule\nWork in adverse weather conditions (cold, hot, humid, rain, snow, etc.)\nWork at elevated heights – greater than 100 feet\nLift at least 50lbs\nWork in confined spaces\nAbility to handle and work with highly hazardous chemicals\nAbility to wear and work in full body PPE (personal protective equipment) which includes acid suit (acid jacket & acid pants) – full face respirator and hood\nBasic computer skills\nThe hourly rate for this position is
