The Workforce Readiness Manager will partner with site leadership and human resources to ensure operational stability by accelerating operator progression resulting in a talent pipeline of experienced operators and own the overall training and developments plan for the site.\nPrimary Functions & Essential Responsibilities: Lead the overall training and learning strategy for the Hopewell site and develop training programs for employees designed to give employees the knowledge and capability to meet the specific organizational goals efficiently and effectively.\nPlans & Aligns\nDevelop a strategy to mitigate risk to both short and long-term operational stability by accelerating operator training progression by reducing the cycle time around operators becoming fully qualified\nOperate with a continuous improvement mindset to elevate current training processes and materials to enhance operating knowledge and the cause and effect/troubleshooting components of each role within an operations area.\nEvaluate the skills of the current workforce and leverage data and 80/20 principles to identify and prioritize efforts ensuring appropriate resourcing and efforts to address critical skills/qualifications gaps\nDevelop and standardize training and progression KPIs for the site designed to monitor progress and results\nEnsure appropriate plans are in place to ensure the site has the necessary skills in order to meet long-term growth goals\nManage the overall learning plan for the site and partner with site and functional leaders to effectively manage internal and regulatory requirements\nChange Leadership and Innovation\nDrive continuous improvement efforts around training and development by leveraging appropriate technology and lean practices to accelerate efforts\nIdentify and advance opportunities for labor efficiency through leveraging third-parties, industry partners, local/state organizations, college/schools, etc. to build capabilities and scale\nProvide coaching and expertise around training methodology and adult learning in order to mentor and develop trainers/leaders\nPartner with Human Resources and site leadership to identify and advance automation and efficiency opportunities around human capital aligned to long-term organizational objectives\nLeadership, Team & Culture\nDirect the work, development and performance of the Hopewell Hourly Training Leader and Area Trainers\nDrive consistency in training and expectations across the site and work groups to ensure a learning culture and accountability for outcomes\nSupport a strong safety awareness culture through appropriate training and development with emphasis on maturing hazard recognition improvements in partnership with HS&E and site leadership\nOversee, facilitate, and ensure effective writing and development of qualification requirements for all hourly work groups\nProvide leadership for the employee qualification/progression evaluation and testing processes\nIn partnership with Human Resources oversee the successful execution and coordination of New Hire Orientation Training\nManage the overall site training and development budget as well as any training grant applications and administration\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Instructional Technology\n10+ years of experience in Chemical Manufacturing with experience in training/learning curriculum design and development\n5+ years of experience in a supervisory/leadership role\nSix Sigma Greenbelt (or Blackbelt) certification or equivalent experience implementing productivity / continuous improvement projects\nAdditional Qualifications:\nExperience in the management of projects, troubleshooting, team building, financial budgets and overall leadership\nWorking knowledge of Process Safety Management, ISO9001 Quality Management, and general OSHA Safety guidelines preferred\nStrong presentation skills preferred\nExperience with technical writing preferred\nExperience in organizational development is strongly preferred\nThe expected annual base pay for this position is $118,800 -
