Our team of about 50, based in Jacksonville, Florida, creates every part of that experience, including content development, branded interface design, video production and software engineering.\nAbout the Opportunity\nWe are looking for an early-career developer who wants to write real production code and grow with a team that will invest in them. As a Software Developer I, you will spend most of your time writing, testing and maintaining C# and .NET code for the platform behind Advantage Orientation and HR Engage, working alongside senior engineers who review your work and help you sharpen your skills.\nThis role is the first step on our Web Developer career path. As you build experience, you will take on larger pieces of work and more ownership, with a defined path to .NET Developer, Senior .NET Developer and, for those who want to lead, Developer Team Lead. Florida also has no personal state income tax, which means more of your paycheck stays with you.\nWhat You Do\nWrite, test and maintain production code in C# and .NET, with guidance and code review from senior engineers. \nBuild and update features across SQL Server, front-end pages and ADG’s content platform. \nTake part in code reviews, learning from feedback on your own work and offering thoughtful feedback to teammates. \nJoin system design discussions and learn the reasoning behind the team’s architecture decisions. \nTroubleshoot and fix issues, and document what you learn so the whole team benefits. \nWork with designers, video producers, and project managers to bring client experiences to life. \nParticipate in internal training, team projects, and peer mentorship to grow your skills. \nRequired Experience\nUp to two years of professional software development experience. Internships, co-ops, coursework, and substantial personal projects count. \nWorking knowledge of C# and object-oriented programming. \nBasic understanding of .NET and ASP.NET (MVC or Core). \nFamiliarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL. \nExperience using Git or another version control system. \nStrong problem-solving and communication skills. \nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field preferred. In lieu of a degree, candidates with equivalent experience gained through prior work, internships, a coding program or substantial project work, demonstrating a working knowledge of C# and .NET development, will be considered. \nHow You Work\nYou will be learning a lot in this role, and how you approach that matters to us. We’re looking for someone who can:\nAsk questions early, take feedback well, and put it to work in the next thing you build. \nOwn your tasks and keep them moving without frequent check-ins and speak up when you’re stuck. \nExplain what you built and why in plain language, to engineers and to colleagues outside engineering. \nTest your own work, pay attention to detail, and keep the people using the platform in mind. \nPreferred Experience\nInternship, co-op or professional experience on a .NET development team. \nExposure to RESTful APIs, Razor, or a content management system such as Umbraco. \nFamiliarity with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps or CI/CD pipelines. \nAwareness of web accessibility (WCAG) and secure coding practices. \nA portfolio, GitHub profile or project you can walk us through. \nCompensation and Benefits\nThe base salary is $65,000-$80,000, depending on experience. Benefits include a 401(k) match, profit sharing, health, dental and vision coverage, paid vacation, flex time, gym membership, and company-funded training. You will also have mentorship from senior engineers and a defined career path with clear expectations at each step.\nWork Location\nThis full-time role is based in Jacksonville, Florida, and begins onsite so you can work closely with the team while learning about our platform and clients.
