As we continue to grow, we are seeking an Entry Level Operator to join our Operations team.\nAs part of this team, you will work under guidance and direction of the shift supervisor and the assigned Operations operator(s) responsible for the safe and efficient handling of all customer products.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPerform work as assigned and directed by Shift Supervisor\nLoad and unload tank trucks, ships, and barges in a safe and efficient manner while complying with DOT standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies and procedures.\nRecord accurate product temperature and levels in storage tanks\nPerform or assist in the performance of preventive and regular maintenance duties.\nAssist Operations with product transfer alignments including piping, pumps, and associated valves\nPerform all work in strict accordance with operating policies procedures, and checklists.\nPerform all work safely at all times in strict accordance with Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures.\nComplete all required training documentation in a timely fashion.\nPerform other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization.\nJOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: \nMust train in Safety and Hazmat requirements at the facility\nProficient in comprehension of written work orders\nBasic math skills required\nMust be able to work on docks\nMust be able to effectively communicate verbally with all levels of management\nMust be willing to work overtime with little or no notice during the week, weekends, holidays, etc as dictated by operations\nIn order to perform the essential duties, regular work attendance is required\nMust be willing and able to work as a part of team, take direction from supervisor(s), prioritize work schedules, focus attention to details, and follow work rules\nAbility to carry a company issued cell phone/radio and be on-call during and after regular business and non-working hours including after dark hours, for work as may be required, assigned and scheduled as dictated by operations.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: \nHigh School Graduate or equivalent.\nTwo-year degree in applied technology preferred.\nOne of the following experience/specific knowledge preferred:1 year terminal Operations/Maintenance experience OR\n3 years of general industry experience such as working in a manufacturing plant, steel mill, refinery, petrochemical plant, energy related industry, performed construction work on pipelines, tanks or manifolds, or have millwright or industrial mechanical, welding, or electrical experience.\n\nCERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:\nLegally authorized to work in the United States.\nMust be at least 18 years of age.\nMust possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.\nMust pass and complete Safety training/certification as required by company to access facility.\nMust obtain and maintain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC).\nThe successful candidate will be required to pass a drug screening and complete a background check after an offer has been extended and before starting employment.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: \nAbility and willingness to perform/comply with following items, with or without reasonable accommodation:\nAbility to climb various ladders and stairs typically ranging up to 100 feet in height, using the proper safety equipment\nAbility to work in confined spaces and in elevated work areas.\nRegularly required to stand, walk, climb, etc. for extended periods of time.\nAbility to raise 75 pounds and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to wear personal protective equipment, such as flame retardant clothing, eye protection, ear protection, steel-toed boots, hard hat, etc.\nMust be medically approved to wear a respirator.\nThis position is subject to random drug and alcohol testing in compliance with company policy and applicable laws.\nMust be willing to work in outdoors environment for extended periods of time during inclement weather.\nRequires turning and tightening nuts and bolts lifting to 50 pounds at times.\nAble to handle working with chemicals, acids and petroleum products and be around vapors with respiratory protection.\nAbility to work alone a high percentage of the time.\nAdvario is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
