This role interprets financial and operational data, applies established tools and best practices to a variety of complex, multi-step assignments, and provides recommendations that support departmental goals. Operating with substantial independence under broad direction, the Senior FP&A Analyst exercises sound judgment to resolve complex assignments, coordinates with cross-functional stakeholders, and may serve as an informal resource for junior analysts. This role also contributes to process improvement efforts that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of FP&A reporting and tools.\nJob Duties & Responsibilities\nPrepare and analyze financial reports, including budget vs. actual performance, variance analysis, and forecasts, applying sound judgment to identify trends and recommend solutions\nPartner with business unit leader/budget owners to translate departmental objectives into financial plans, identifying key business drivers and cost-saving opportunities\nApply strong working knowledge of Advarra's financial systems, budgeting processes, and cross-departmental business drivers to day-to-day FP&A activities\nDevelop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and planning templates that support departmental and enterprise-wide decision-making\nExercise sound judgment to resolve a variety of complex, multi-step financial and operational issues, coordinating with stakeholders across departments and escalating new, high-impact, or strategic issues as needed\nSupport cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives, including reporting automation and budgeting/forecasting methodology enhancements\nDevelop and present financial analysis and KPIs, communicating data clearly to non-finance audiences\nSupport the FP&A function's participation in cross-functional and enterprise-wide initiatives, including merger and acquisition due diligence and integration activities\nIdentify opportunities to improve tools, templates, and analytics that support forecasting accuracy and reporting efficiency\nParticipate in continuous improvement efforts within the FP&A function, recommending enhancements to processes and procedures\nMay serve as an informal resource for junior FP&A analysts, sharing best practices in financial modeling and data analysis\nLocation\nThis role is open to candidates working a Hybrid schedule in our Wellesley, MA office location.\nBasic Qualifications\n5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, budgeting, financial modeling, or related finance roles, or an equivalent combination of education and experience\nProficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and Microsoft Excel\nDemonstrated experience translating financial data into clear, actionable recommendations\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred\nNetSuite or comparable ERP/accounting software experience preferred\nExperience with financial planning and analysis software/tools (e.g., Adaptive, Hyperion, or similar) preferred\nExperience supporting merger and acquisition due diligence and integration activities a plus\nStrong written, verbal, and presentation skills\nDetail-oriented, with a strong focus on data accuracy and integrity\nAbility to manage multiple assignments and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders\nStrong business acumen with the ability to build relationships across cross-functional teams\nProven ability to operate independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities with limited supervision\nPhysical and Mental Requirements\nSit or stand for extended periods of time at stationary workstation\nRegularly carry, raise, and lower objects of up to 10 Lbs. \nLearn and comprehend basic instructions\nFocus and attention to tasks and responsibilities\nVerbal communication; listening and understanding, responding, and speaking \nAdvarra is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to providing a workplace that is free from discrimination and harassment of any kind based on race, color, religion, creed, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, and related medical conditions, sexual orientation, and gender identity), national origin, age, disability or genetic information, or any other status or characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.\nThe base salary range for this role is $71,955 - $125,109.
