All while understanding that together we are even better.\nSchedule:\nPRNShift:\nDay (United States of America)Address:\n2525 S DOWNING STCity:\nDENVERState:\nColoradoPostal Code:\n80210Job Description:\nPerforms and documents daily system quality control (QC) checks in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements. \nStays current with evolving MR safety standards and participating in ongoing education to support departmental safety culture.\nPrepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.\nFollows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams.\nMaintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.\nEducates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam.\nEnsures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks. Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low. Performs high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols to ensure diagnostic image quality and patient safety.\nReviews patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify potential contraindications (e.g., implanted devices, metal, claustrophobia, contrast allergies).\nScreens all patients, staff, and equipment for MRI safety compliance per facility policy and current safety standards, including completion of required screening documentation.\nOperates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.\nPositions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging.\nProvides education and support related to MR safety, including device clearance processes, conditional implant screening, and staff training.\nLeads or participates in MRI safety incident investigations, performing root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions when applicable. \nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nAbility to communicate effectively and work with people of diverse backgrounds [Required]\nKnowledge of MRI procedures [Required]\nKnowledge of MRI scanners [Required]\nAbility to learn and grow with new technology [Required]\nCustomer service skills [Required]\nMRI Safety [Required]\nGeneral computer skills and PACS [Preferred]\nBasic IV skills [Preferred]\nGeneral physics and anatomy [Preferred]\nEducation:\nHigh School Grad or Equiv [Required]\nAssociate [Preferred]\nBachelor's [Preferred]\nField of Study:\nN/A\nWork Experience:\n1+ years of experience [Preferred]\nAdditional Information:\nAdditional Licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the specific unit or state in which this position is located.
