Job Description:

Excels in all functions performed by patient representatives. Assumes responsibilities to ensure adequate staffing and problem-solving. Registers all patient types and assists in resolving patient concerns. Maintains effectiveness of patient flow and ensures patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA laws and regulations. Serves as the initial point of contact for physician practices to coordinate scheduling of tests and procedures. Acts as a patient advocate, proactively greeting visitors upon arrival and projecting a positive and helpful demeanor. Relays accurate information to physician practices, patients, visitors, and staff. Maintains a welcoming environment in the Heart Center waiting areas. Facilitates communication between visitors and healthcare staff, displaying excellent communication skills. Escorts patients, family members, and visitors. Oversees daily activities of the Heart Center registration area to ensure department standards are met. Secures all necessary signatures for treatments, release of medical information, and assignment of insurance benefits and payment of services. Works closely and professionally with nursing and ancillary departments to maintain a teamwork approach. Other duties as assigned.

• Must be proficient in the English language. [Required]
• Excellent verbal communication skills. [Required]
• Computer proficient and able to learn registration software. [Required]
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. [Required]

Pay Range:

$16.02 - $25.63
