Job Description:

• Markets personal training services to attract new clients and retain existing ones.

• Conducts new client assessments and prescribes exercises to help them reach their personal fitness goals.

• Monitors clients during workouts to ensure safety and effectiveness.

• Provides motivation and support to help clients achieve their fitness goals.

• Educates clients on proper nutrition and lifestyle habits to complement their fitness routines.

• Adjusts fitness programs as needed based on clients progress and feedback.

• Maintains accurate records of clients workouts and progress.

• Stays updated on the latest fitness trends and techniques through continuous education and research.

• Ensures a clean and safe workout environment by maintaining equipment and facilities.

• Circulates through the fitness floor, engages members through encouragement and conversation, and corrects any exercises being performed incorrectly.

• Promotes and provides wellness services at events both on and off-site as needed.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to create effective and safe exercise prescriptions [Required]

• Ability to obtain new clients [Required]

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and members verbally, non-verbally, and in writing [Required]

• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]

• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]

• Demonstrated knowledge of exercise technique, fitness recommendations, and injury/illness prevention [Required]

• Ability to develop individualized exercise prescriptions based on fitness assessment [Required]

• Ability to evaluate patient's response to exercise conditioning and discontinue exercise as appropriate [Required]

• Demonstrated ability to provide group training and present on health and fitness topics [Required]

• Excellent customer service skills, with a commitment to provide World Class customer service and work collaboratively on a World Class team [Required]

• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people, including the ability to convey a positive image and build positive relationships [Required]

• Ability to multi-task and work with a large degree of independence [Required]

• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, lift 50lbs repeatedly, and stand for extended periods of time [Required]

• Comply with all policies and procedures, upholding the organization's Vision, Mission, Values, and code of conduct [Required]

• Stay up to date with industry standards and techniques [Required]

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

• Bachelor's [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 1+ in customer service, sales, or a related field [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
