All while understanding that together we are even better.\nAll the benefits and perks you need for you and your family:\nBenefits from Day One: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance\n\nPaid Time Off from Day One\n\n403-B Retirement Plan\n\n4 Weeks 100% Paid Parental Leave\n\nCareer Development\n\nWhole Person Well-being Resources\n\nMental Health Resources and Support\n\nPet Benefits\n\nSchedule:\nFull timeShift:\nDay (United States of America)Address:\n707 OLD DALTON ELLIJAY RDCity:\nCHATSWORTHState:\nGeorgiaPostal Code:\n30705Job Description:\nExecutes core pharmacy technician duties with proficiency in standard workflows, hospital systems, and pharmacy operational programs under pharmacist supervision. \nDemonstrates proficiency in core pharmacy services, including medication dispensing, preparation, inventory management, sterile compounding, controlled substance handling, and regulatory compliance. \nProvides coverage across core pharmacy practice areas, including central/distributive operations, decentralized services, automated dispensing cabinet (ADC) management, and cleanroom compounding as assigned. \nAccurately prepares and safely dispenses patient-specific medication doses, ensuring correct drug, dose, dosage form, expiration dating, and barcode scanning. \nCompounds sterile medications such as IV solutions and piggyback containers under aseptic conditions, following USP & guidelines and institutional protocols, with appropriate oversight. \nOther duties as assigned. \nWorks effectively with technicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and ensure continuity of pharmacy services across shifts, staffing assignments, and practice areas. \nActively participates in departmental quality improvement efforts, attends educational activities, and supports training and mentorship of peers and pharmacy learners. \nOperates and troubleshoots medication automation systems, ADCs, and pharmacy software; interprets electronic health records accurately to support safe medication practices. \nMaintains inventory accuracy by receiving and rotating stock, removing expired medications, guaranteeing accurate medication counts, and managing controlled substances in compliance with regulatory standards. \nEnsures proper medication storage and overall inventory integrity. Identifies, reports, and helps prevent potential medication errors, including look-alike/sound-alike risks, contributing to a culture of safety. \nHandles, processes, and appropriately disposes of all waste materials, including all levels of hazardous waste, within the department in accordance with environmental protocols. \nProficient in the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and spill kits in the event of a hazardous medication spill. \nParticipates in initiatives that improve medication-use processes and supports compliance with regulatory standards and institutional accreditation requirements. \nPrepares reports and assists with compliance documentation as directed by supervisors, contributing to operational transparency and accountability.\nEducation:\nHigh School Grad or Equiv Required\nWork Experience:\n1+ years of contemporary hospital pharmacy experience, retail or ambulatory experience Required\nAdditional Information:\nActive State Pharmacy Technician registration Required \nLicenses and Certifications:\nRegistered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) Required OR\nLicensed Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) Required\n Physical Requirements: (Please click the link below to view work requirements) Physical Requirements -
